The thing to ask yourself is, who would San Antonio pick?

Lillard and Henson or Zeller?

Ha! When was the last time San Antonio picked in the lottery? Those guys are the shit at picking diamonds in the end of the first round.

The last time the Spurs where in the lottery they picked Timmay!

the last time the blazers drafted at #7 they drafted randy foye, what a horrible pick that was

True, but they tend to pick players that are either ready (upper classmen, or European experience) or guys they can stash in Europe until ready--with a few exceptions.

This is a dicey draft when it comes to guys who are ready. Seems like there's more projects than there are sure things.

I won 2 t-shirts and a foam finger at yesterday's Blazer Lotto Party!

Oh and I got to see HCP, he's always so much nicer in person than he is in the forum but I was a little grossed out when he said something about he hasn't changed his underwear in 5 years.

Were those his Bill Curley game used briefs?

Is it? Is Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones or Harrison Barnes likely to be a lot better or more productive during their respective career? I'd put the chances at South of 25%. 6 for Millsap would work for me.

You realize that the cost for Millsap is more than just the pick don't you? $8 million of the 12-13 million in cap space PLUS the pick...Is he THAT much better than what POR could get at #6? I don't think so at all...UTA was a better team than POR this year and all you do in a trade like that is widen the gap.....well done...

LIke I said a stupid idea by Hollinger and idiotically pushed by Blazer homers like Wheeler...

I agree. If you're going to eat up cap space and trade the #6 pick, I'd prefer to do so for a veteran SG or PG, as opposed to adding a player in the one position of strength, thereby forcing LMA to play center and defend the Bynums, Perkins, and Marc Gasols of the NBA. A SG would be fantastic, and Wes wouldn't be overpriced or overmatched as a 6th man, which is where he's best suited.

Ah, but is Mrs. HCP much nicer in person?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm not advocating the trade, I'm just saying in terms of production Millsap is probably the ceiling for a lot of these guys outside of the top 5 of this years draft. If the whole idea is to get better right away (which it sounds like the Blazers want to do) then trading a young player for a vet like Millsap is a step in that direction.

I disagree with that assesment....I think at #6 you can get a all star\perennal all star caliber player...Millsap has not and will never be that type of player...

A trade like that is a "safe out" and teams that do that rarely have success....
