Is Cronin the best GM ever?

Hart is a great rebounder even among forwards, and good defender. He doesn't have the handle or shot creation of a pure guard. It might be semantics but I would classify him as a wing before I called him a guard. He certainly would never be someone I called a PG. Yes he can slide to SG but he can just as easily play forward.
Lol Dude, a 2 Guard is a Wing and no one has said he's a PG (strawman). His position is listed as Guard by the NBA. Like Powell and Shaedon and countless other "Wings", his size is that of a traditional SG but in this age of positionless hoops sometimes he guards guys bigger then him. That doesn't change what his primary position is, has been or what he's been listed as for the vast majority of his career. You can call him a PG, a Wing, a Center or make up an entirely new word if you like but the rest of the world most commonly refers to Hart's position as a Guard.

I'd ask why you're trying to split this hair but thats what you always seem to do

It came up because I said Norm was the perfect ex-Blazers guard of the last decade to have on a roster with any of Dame/CJ/Simons or any other type of player. Jrue fits that mold too in his younger years, but they are guards that can contribute on both ends without dominating the ball.

I don't view Hart that way because he wouldn't be primarily in the backcourt like Jrue/Norm if I was constructing a roster. He might play some spot minutes there but Jrue/Norm would ONLY play minutes at guard. Again I loved Hart just view his as a different role. He averaged 8.2 rebounds as a Blazer 2nd on the team. Thats not what I call a guard.

If you want to view Hart as primarily a guard thats your choice - I just said I personally didn't view him that way as a Blazer.

Appreciate that you have such a fascination with many of my posts and love to make it personal. Sorry I have a wife already.

Still cant figure out why mods haven't merged this thread with this one. It's the same topic!

That was my thread - please keep it separate!

However if you want to create a new thread to discuss if these too threads should be merged please go for it.

That thread was if Cronin was a good GM - this is if he is the best GM ever. This thread needs to die and that one should live on.

60% of the forum don't want threads merged
