I'd we very happy if we got Hawes, after that it's all gravy as we will likely get a solid backup PG (maybe Mo stays) and perhaps a wing - I'd really like to try to get Thad Young from Philly for a CJ and change trade. Pierce is very low probability IMO but would love to get him
Turner is a guy I think will slide into MLE territory and with his skillset would offensively be kind of a Batum in the 2nd unit alongside Mo.
We were a decent team last year... our bench would be greatly improved.Seems like a decent team but not "are you kidding me" worthy

Spurs aren't taking any steps back even if they lose mills. They'll just replace him with the next mills.
Sign and trade for Spencer. Offer full MLE to Ariza. Bring back Mo.
Go take a vaca Neil.
I really like this plan!

We can't absorb using the MLE. A trade of Wright + Freeland would allow us to take back up to 9.4 mill though. That would preserve our MLE for a new backup 3.
If the team keeps progressing due to an improved bench then that pock falls into the end of the 1st round, so sure why not. This maybe be factual but Cleveland would need a future 1st for that do you want to pay Hawes 8 million and give up a first round pick to get him?

I would be ok with giving Hawes more than the MLE by sign and trade. Leonard and Wright to Cleveland. We could also send Wright to a third team along with cash.
Philly would probably be interested with both those players because they need a vet wing, plus they can wait for Leonard to develop (rebuilding mode). And doing that deal would still leave us the flexibility to use the MLE on another player.
Hawes is with Cleveland... freudian slip? haha.
