• Friday will mark the fourth and final regular season matchup between the Trail Blazers and the Jazz.

• The Trail Blazers have defeated the Jazz in all three matchups so far this season, winning 130-98 in Portland on Dec. 6, 105-94 on Jan. 9 in Portland, and 102-94 on Feb. 21 also in Salt Lake City.

• After losing the past two regular season series against the Jazz, the Trail Blazers have already clinched the series win over Utah this season. If Portland defeats the Jazz on April 11, it will be the first time that Portland has ever swept the regular season series against Utah.

• Portland has lost four of the last five games to the Jazz in Salt Lake City. Three out of five of those games were decided by single digits.

• LaMarcus Aldridge had a team high 24 points in the Jan. 9 matchup in Utah, while Nicolas Batum contributed 11 assists and Robin Lopez grabbed 11 rebounds.

• LaMarcus Aldridge recorded his 10th double-double of the season with 20 points and 15 rebounds against the Jazz on Dec. 6.

• Wesley Matthews played his rookie season with the Jazz in 2009-10, appearing in all 82 regular season games. Matthews averaged 9.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists with the Jazz.

• Mo Williams spent the 2012-13 season with the Jazz. Williams also played for Utah as a rookie after being selected by the Jazz with the 47th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. In two seasons in Utah, Williams recorded combined averages of 8.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

• Earl Watson played three seasons with the Jazz, from 2010-13, averaging 3.3 points, 2.2 rebounds 3.8 assists and 19.3 minutes in 178 games played.

• Damian Lillard played college ball at Weber State which is located in Ogden, Utah.

• HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Jazz lead, 93-75
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 57-28
AT THE JAZZ: Jazz lead, 65-18

Blazers' win over Sac was their first win by 2 or fewer since 12/15. Had lost 7 straight by 2 or fewer (4 of those by 1 point).

Yeah they switched it for no reason... like, literally, they gave no reason for the switch.

The Jazz will want to play the role of spoiler. They're going to come at us hard tonight, like Sacramento and Phoenix did. We let those teams hang around, and are 1-1 because of it.

Come out and crush them. Destroy their will to win. At that point, they'll back off.

This is a chance for our FIRST EVER sweep of the Jazz in the regular season. They've had some bad teams (albeit not many) in their history, and we've never accomplished that.

Crazy, isn't it? It's a real testimony to Sloan and how well prepared he always had his teams.

Trail Blazers place G Mo Williams on their Active List and G Allen Crabbe on their Inactive List for tonight's game at Utah.

They just shot themselves in the foot!

I was just going to say I'd like Crabbe to play 6 4th qtr minutes, oh well. Anybody else ready for a double digit win?

Exactly why I thought the Sacramento game was great for us. I'm glad it was down to the wire. We needed that experience going into the playoffs.

Phoenix is near elite in the NBA. They don't belong in the same category as Sacramento and Utah. But yes, let's crush them. You're right that they'll want to play spoiler. I'm hoping New Orleans will similarly want to play spoiler against the Rockets on closing night.

Nicolas Batum has traveled the furthest distance in games so far this season at 209.4 miles

DarkWebs- how have we already played twice in SLC? Something's wrong there.

Nice lob pass by Dame to Nic!

So, the game isn't on KGW? Fuck this shit! Assholes.

10 of our 13 points have been scored in the paint so far. That's unusual

Miami up by 19 against indiana.. this is a hardcore +18 movie.. Miami´s Message to the League : " Are You Win Championships in this League ? You must beat us ! "

Spoken like a football player. ;)
