Can't wait to hear what mediocreman has to say. I'm assuming his head exploded or something. Although reading some of these posts, people are trying to fill his shoes.

I highly doubt tonight's loss made MM mad at all.

I can live with that.

I disagree. Watching Charlotte yesterday really made me realize how big of a crapshoot tanking is. I'm not sure I'd want to go through 5 more years of absolute crap in the hopes that one day it will be better. I'm not sure PA would want to go through that again either.

This team can tread water, but move towards youth at the same time.

It could break that way I guess, but I'd counter with the example of rebuilding on the fly that Denver and Utah pulled off as the opposite end of the spectrum. We don't necessarily have to expect an un-watchable team for the next half decade.

Rebuilding on the fly is great. Problem is, Denver and Utah were fairly talented even without their star player, mostly due to their front offices making the right decisions and getting great value for draft picks and trades.

Portland...isn't. Outside of Aldridge, you've got Batum and a bunch of guys who are, or are about to be over the hill. You can't trade away Aldridge since he's the only thing keeping the boat afloat, so the speak.

This offseason will be a great test though, to see if the front office has what it takes. A bunch of salary is coming off the books and they're in prime position to make some moves....

Mediocre Man is not a fan of Nate and anything that might possibly cause the Blazers to dump Nate will make him happy.
Furthermore, he may also be of the opinion the Blazers would be better off in this year's big-man laden lottery than getting creamed and embarrassed in the playoffs. Not speaking for mm or anything....

Just logging in for my daily vent. Why did Felton and Mathews (in the first half) feel like they had to help in middle (where I'm sure Camby and Aldridge can do fine) and leave Salmons wide open?

AND, I've said this before; running a shorter shot clock in practice does not teach the fast break! Can we get someone in here who can teach the mechanics and spacing involved in a successful fast break??!!

Are you mad sir? Next you will want to legalize the forward pass in football! Only an uncouth ruffian takes the opportunity to score easy baskets - or is rude enough to win on the other chap's home court. Nate is merely teaching his men good sportsmanship! :tsktsk:

The weird thing is that I don't even get upset when I watch this re-run.

The weirder thing is that I started laughing and crying at the same time when I read your post.
