Blazers lose close game to best team in league! TRADE EVERYONE! FIRE NATE!

We'll we can't beat many good teams in the league right now and are dropping some very winnable games as well (Bobcats, Philly). What's the last quality win? The Celtics while they were imploding on the road? Maybe a 1-point win against Detroit at home?

The stated goal of this team is to make the playoffs. We need a talent upgrade to make that happen.

Not from me tonight. I got nothin'. We lost to a team that is 31-8 with (at least) the 2nd best player in the league. Oh, and Mo Freeking Williams goes 12-19 and gets 33 pts. Gotta tip your cap sometimes.

Brandon Roy. You can look at the box score and say he got poned by Labron, but he missed so many shots at the rim that he usually finishes. He still got space and didn't look hurt to me. He's just in a mini-slump. He's still blowing by people and getting the basket. He'll be okay.

Oden's fouls tonight weren't stupid/brainless ones. At least a couple were on Labron - what can you do there?

We lost to a good team - it feels MUCH different that losing to the bobcats and going 16-31 from the line.

Bake it then? That's the BS line shoved down our throat for the last 6 seasons.

Yes, because Ruben Patterson, Sebastian Telfair, Zach Randolph, Juan Dixon, and Vicktor Khryapa are the most feared starting 5 in the league

Did you just use "PONED" as an actual WORD?

Urban Dictionary definition of Poned:

"Getting your ass whooped by anyone who is better than you, causing you disgrace and/or shame. Basically sucking"

Sort of encapsulates everything I wanted to say.

Yeah, but just wait till Sergey Monya gets here . . .

So PWNED has become PONED, and an actual word now, not just LEETSPEAK? Kids these days!

BS line? There isn't a team in the entire NBA that has made more trades in the last three years than the Trail Blazers.

sweet now we can expect 3 days of teeth gnashing, wrist slitting, calls for trades, firings and not a bottle of Ritalin in sight.

More like ebonics these days. Dumbing down the tried and true PWNED for the new internet set that can't figure it out.

Which means DO NOTHING when we are on the cusp of being a good team?

The Blazer love fans with low expectations and unlimited patience. See you at the draft party yet again.

here in lies the problem, as fans of the blazers we've loved the wheeling and dealing, who doesn't? but at some point you have to sit back and see what you've got, especailly with a team this young. yes the goal is the playoffs, but if we don't make it do you break this team up? no, you continue to tinker with it and say what you want but this team WILL NOT finish at .500 this season, which will be an improvement.

I agree.

Trades for draft picks and old guys coming off the cap during the summer. This team never addresses issues during the regular season when we are still in the playoff hunt.

Now is the time where we need to spend Raef's contract and get a wing defender that can score the ball.

I somewhat agree, but you are assuming such a player is available and wouldn't cost the Blazers some serious pieces.

I don't think it's going to happen, but there is still a month until the deadline, so I guess there's hope?

I know. It's funny that the people that want to make a move only want to part with the Sergio's, Outlaws, or Frye's. Roy, Lamarcus, Oden, Rudy, Bayless, Batum are untouchable. One problem . . . NOBODY WANTS our garbage.

I will admit, if KP could somehow swing a deal for Gerald Wallace, I'd be ecstatic.

I don't want to trade anyone! I just want an extra long practice where foul shots are the emphasis. I'd also like to know where to send the whistles that were clearly lost to that pathetic fucking ref crew!

We've got half a season now to evaluate talent. If we don't know what we have then this front office is inept.

Veteran teams are hitting their stride and playing better ball. We are letting up a bit and dropping more games then we were earlier in the season.

The handful of fans here who have been upset that we switch pick and rolls should be happy tonight. We trapped about half of the on ball screens tonight... And I believe Cleveland went 6-7 on three when we did that, but that's besides the point, at least we didn't switch, right?

The Cavs couldn't miss tonight and every loose ball they got points out of. They had a perfect game and the refs did the rest! If your PG is what 6 of 6 from three you're going to win.

Mo Williams went insane from 3-point land tonight. Many of those courtesy of going under picks.

I counted 2 that he hit from going under picks. I believe another 3 came when we trapped an on ball screen, with the last being a drive and dish. I could be wrong. I'm positive that zero threes were made when we switched the on the ball screen.

Mo shot the ball well, but I was even more surprised with Lebron's ability to hit the jumper tonight.

I hate this team. It sucks. It lost at home to a shitty team full of journeyman with a mediocre record. AND on top of all that, we got all the calls tonight too and couldn't take advantage of the refs trying to feed us some good home cookin'. I'm about to start rooting for the GSW'ers - they're closer to me geographically anyways.

Methinks you just forfeited your ability to use the word "we" in relation to the Blazers.
