If they get him, I wonder what they are going to do with all these bigs...

My first thought would be start Kanter at Center and Davis (for defense) at PF, bring Leonard off the bench at PF for 28 mpg, and Plumlee gets 15 mpg at center, and Vonleh basically gets garbage time.

Kanter is only 22 or 23. I think we move someone else before moving Kaman. Keep Kaman as a mentor. Vonleh sprained his ankle, maybe that's a sign that hmmm...

Kanter met with Dallas yesterday but signed our offer today..I like the move for what it is and Kanter has room to improve at his age..he's younger than Meyers

Plumlee is too good for those few of minutes imo. But good problem to have I guess.

They have to re-sign Durrant and Adams.next summer.

Center is probably the worst positions to be weak defensively right?

Yes this. Anyone?
It's $ that a team that trades for him needs to pay the player, in addition to actual salary.

I believe we gave Hibbert one a few years back. Because of it, his contract was harder to trade, and now, the Lakers who are getting him need to pay him more cash like a bonus. It does not affect cap numbers, I believe, it just goes into the player's pockets.

We need 5 IMO. So you trade Kaman. Someone will need a back up big.
Opens the door to trade one of our bigs IF we get a nice offer, Plumlee would be a possibility, he's on a great contract for a team needing a C

Kanter is sloooooow defending the Pick and roll - kind of a problem

1 on 1 he isn't that bad

That seems like a lot now, but like has been said, isn't so bad later on. With that cap going up and Kanter plus Dame at big dollars, what would their cap space be next years? Now it looks like OKC offered something close so maybe this just adds cap space tightness on them.

“Some” of the fans on a Thunder board are happy with Portland’s max offer, and hope Presti matches.

Reason, if the Thunder offered Enes a max offer, he would receive 7.5% raises. The Portland offer can only be for 4.5% raises.

IF? The Thunder planned to match Enes max offer, Olshey just saved them a few $$$.

I think this is a win-win. I actually would rather they match but if they don't we get a very nice piece. However, if they do match I think we get PJ Perry Jones (at least) and they send us a 2nd rounder to boot.
