Fez, Henderson is 6'4 on a good day, there is no way he is going to be the backup 3. He was brought in to split time at the 2 with CJ. I anticipate McCollum getting about 20mpg at SG and 10-12 at PG this year.

Did paul Allen fly out to meet with hibbert couple years ago? Or hawes last year? I don't remember reading about it. This seems like Portland bringing their tanks.

Crabbe?
I'm guessing they'll move McCollum to starting SG, and Henderson will be backup.

Does Paul Allen attending a free agency pitch help? I'm not so sure...

Olshey does the talking. Allen brings the money bags.

This.

Now....are the trying to get Monroe to play center and hoping LA will come back or as a PF and that will be it?

With our cap space, we have to be pursuing two max-type players. I think if Olshey gets a Monroe-type, he turns Kaman into a backcourt player and hope LA signs. If he doesn't, he turns Kaman into a front court player (Hibbert) and hope LA signs.

Meaning, we're better off if Olshey can sign a big and then deal Kaman.

Monroe is a center, if we lock him up forget about hibbert. LA is option A and after that I have no idea. Maybe kevin love although defensively I'm not interested in watching him and Monroe paired up. I would go after Millsap instead.

Edit: read your post wrong about hibbert. Goddammit it's early and I need a burrito

In no way is Monroe a PF.

Strictly a center.

I think Neil then goes after a SG.

So say we get this guy and LMA returns (doubt it) is that a good frontline? I heard Monroe's defense is not that good..

Could you imagine if we were able to get Monroe, then Aldridge and Matthews take less for 1 year to make contracts work? I know it's a dream, but I'm Mr. Rose Colored glasses yo!

Not sure either. But according to reports, Paul is a smart guy who really knows his stuff, knows what he wants, and asks tough, insightful questions.

Also, it's as much an interview for Monroe as it is Monroe interviewing the Blazers. As it should be. If Paul doesn't come away thinking Monroe is our guy, Monroe isn't our guy.

David Falk and his comments after the Hibbert offer sheet leads me to believe this one is in the bag.
