Blazers' Meyers Leonard finds himself following shoulder surgery

Right?

What was that say...oh yeah....

Money can buy you alot of shit, but not happiness....

I disagree. More money would make me a lot happier. Money is the cause of most of my problems. Having those problems aleviated would make me happy. Poverty (really greed) is the root of society's ills. Wherever poverty is, there is more crime, suicide, domestic violence etc.

It depends on where you get that money. If I get it from a poor black man, it won't make me happy. From Trump, it will make me happy. The money transfer needs to come from the rich, not the rest of us. This is why Denny needs to hand over this board to me.

Why is he following shoulder surgery? Does he want to become a surgeon?

Anyway, looks like we finally know how much that "substantial" offer was last year. 40 mil.

With regard to the OP, Meyers is soft minded...

Now what is concerning is this talk of Mason having developed a jump shot. If he had a shot that teams had to respect, he'd be a much better player. But we already committed 10 mil to Meyers and are going to be at the luxury tax threshold next year. Meyers is a good shooter when left wide open, but that's all he brings. I'd rather have held out for Mason.

This.

I hear ya.. I suppose there are levels of happiness. Financial freedom is absolutely a happy positive thing, but I guess it should be more , "money doesn't bring peace or contentedness".
I'm not rich, but I have had the honor and privilege to have some personal conversations with a few great people who are(Dan Wyden for one), and they will absolutely tell you there is a different level of stress and unhappiness that having millions can bring. The vultures pile up and you need to build walls and.. I think its something that isn't really fully understood by either side unless you have lived it or witnessed it first hand. Meaning the rich have no clue about inner city poverty, and the inner city folks have no clue of the global harassment the rich have to deal with.
Obviously one is more life threatening than the other, but they both can provide a level of unhappiness in one's everyday life.

Giving 10 mil to Leonard has nothing to do with Mason. They are already discussing an extension with Plums. We lack shooters on this team. Leonard is a shooter. Can we use Leonard in a package to bring in another shooter. Yes, but not if we would have let him walk last summer. Neil and PA are gathering assets right now and are waiting to worrying about the tax threshold when it actually happens. PA already said he has no problem if he is forced to be in it for a short time.

It does if Paul Allen wants to avoid the luxury tax, which by all reports, he's said he intends to do unless the team is contending for a title.

I could be wrong, but to the best of my recollection, Paul Allen has never lost a player he or the GM wanted to keep in order to avoid the luxury tax. Can you think of one?

If Plumlee plays well this year, he is not going anywhere.

He's loosened the reigns this year.

He's never kept a player and gone into the luxury tax either. He's never been in that situation. But Mike Barrett has talked about how Paul did not want to go into the luxury tax territory unless he thought we were contending. And we'll be right at the threshold next year.

What year was this? Paul Allen two weeks ago said he would do it.
