Blazers moving to Vegas?

I was really only joking but it does demonstrate the hypocrisy in this forum.

To the topic at hand, I haven't really heard anything I'd think was substantial for even rumors of the Blazers moving. It's all been just "gossip" type stuff with no real substance as far as I know. I certainly don't think Portland is like a Holy City of NBA Basketball that they would never leave, but I believe that at least for now I think the incentives are much more in favor of staying. There is always some uncertainty when there may be an ownership change, but the NBA looks bad when they alienate markets, so the financial incentive would need to be really high for them to consider moving.

SWA & Alaska have very reasonable fairs and liquor is cheaper in Nevada.
They elected a dead brothel owner as member of the 36th senate district. In Nevada anything can happen and nothing is cheaper.
New Name- Las Vegas Brassieres

Just an observation (that I know will outrage some of you).

The official narrative with the Sonics has been that the city could not sustain a team, and it was after reaching that conclusion that the league decided that the team should be sold to the OKC group. Really? Isn't it equally likely they picked the OKC group and then claimed Seattle was a horrible place to rationalize the move?

The point is, no one can honestly claim the Blazers won't be moved until the buyer is known. If the league decides to bless a seller who wants to move the team - it will be moved.

I know of a contract that says you are wrong. But don't let that get in the way of your premise. Very entertaining.

Literally, every contract has ways out if they want to bad enough. However, I don't believe there is any real danger to the Blazers leaving anytime soon, I think they are signed with the Rose Garden until 2025 or something like that.

Hmmm. This brings me to a question. What do you think would raise more revenue for a Vegas based stadium? To cram as many people in there like most stadiums, or provide comfort with elbow room, costing thousands of less seats, BUT each seat has a slot the seat ticket holder can use all throughout the game?

I thought at first it would be the extra seats, but the more I think about it, timeouts, half times, boring games, blowouts, etc...I could see some serious coin being tossed into the slots. I think a person could blow $100 easily on a nickel or quarter slot if sitting there for three hours.

I think I'm onto something and should join the Vegas stadium project committee.

Vegas has already built the arena. They wouldn't build another one.

I know, but thats for the raiders right? What about baseball and basketball? I think they fucked up by not coming to me for some input/advise on the raiders stadium....I coulda brought them bank for them to take to the bank!

@Orion Bailey vegas already has the T-Mobile arena, that is where a potential b-ball team would play

Then they REALLY fucked up by not gettign me on the horn first. Maybe they knew my percent of take for my input would be more than they were willing to pay out. They fucked up.
I have the plan of plans to make Vegas rich... richer than they are now.

Morning Blazer fans!

So I got to work this morning and a coworker of mine comes up to me and says: "did you hear?? Vegas is looking for a basketball team and the Blazers are one of the teams looking to sell to them" I guess I should Google it, but this was the first place I came to see if he was right... Is he? Gosh I hope not.
I'll keep it to myself next time. Sorry for wasting your time.

Canzano, you could also stop writing your stupid articles repeating the same thing for the last 15 years.

Canzano does that in a patronizing, stirring the pot sort of way. I didnt get that from this guys posts.

From all accounts it's a great arena and it's right on the strip. I think they're doing fine.

More likely that Paul probably left in his well to his sister that who buys the team must agree to keep the team in Portland.

If someone from Vegas buys the Blazers I might start to worry. And even then I don't think I would take the chance of a move all that seriously. I stick by the theory that eventually the MLB to Portland group will give up on the MLB and buy the Blazers.

No one will buy this expansive franchise just to move it when they can buy the Pelicans instead.

-Pelicans don't have a fanbase - it's a much easier sell to Silver.
-Pelicans are now owned by some lady whose husband just died and that man's children are now after her head for stealing their heritage.
-I think the Pelicans don't own The Smoothie Cream Center (or whatever it's called), so it's easier to buy and move a team "without a home".

And if the buyer is REALLY wealthy he would buy the Knicks which are for sale now.
