I'm over it. This team has had so much bullshit lately with Roy's knee, Oden's unknown status, and the ups and downs of our bench. I have already said my peace about McMillan. There's only so many times you can complain about his rotation or his offensive sets. His handling of Batum is standard, so there's really no reason to bitch and moan. I genuinely think this team has reached as far as it can with McMillan at the helm, so until they replace him with a new coach, I have accepted our fate.

To be honest. Armon's stint in the game was some of the best ball we played during that game, we didn't even sniff him in the 2nd half. That dime when he split the double team and hit Rudy in the corner was sweet. So was the bounce pass to Camby. Not being consistent with your lineup when players are playing great in a certain role is disheartening.

We should hire Mark Few. He's the anti-McMillan.

I'm kind of hoping that Nate just quits at the end of the season. I doubt we're that lucky though...

I'm surprised there's not as much McMillan blame around here... There is no reason Batum and Miller shouldn't have been in the game at crunch time. Hate to say it, but Roy's defense late was one of the reasons we lost this game. He was getting blown by at will. 5 rebounds by the teams starting PF is brutal as well.

I see a lot of blame being thrown around over a 1 point loss on the road, when it seems pretty obvious to me that the reason we are losing a lot of these games that we used to win, is because we no longer have a closer. Brandon Roy isn't the Brandon Roy we have known, and he will never be again after reading Quicks article this morning. When you have not cartilage or meniscus left in your knee, it is over. His choice is to learn to play like Ray Allen, or fade away.

Armon made some good plays while he was in the game. I thought the team as a whole played well offensively until the end of the game. The problem was defense, and the fact we no longer have a closer at the end of the game.

Yea that is the reason I brought up Allen. When Ray Allen was younger, he played above the rim a lot. Now he rarely plays above the rim, but yet still somehow manages to drop 30+ point games on teams as a role player. There are no iso plays for him. Only screens, double screens, and quick cuts to the hoop. He never handles the ball for more than a few seconds at a time. Either its a clean look and he takes the shot, or the ball moves immediately to another option.

I don't know if Roy can develop a pure/quick release like Ray Ray though. Allen has probably the quickest release in the NBA, matched with a pure shot and he's deadly from deep. I don't know if Roy can do that.

Ray Allen was always a dead-eye shooter, even when he was a dynamic scorer and ball-handler. Roy is good, but he's no Ray Allen ... he's got his work cut out for him

I never understood how a professional could take the summer off... it seems like every player in the NBA should get better at shooting every year. You don't have to be running around to work on your release.

When i go to the gym, I notice if I'm just shooting around, and then I shoot like 50 free throws, my shot from everywhere else is magically 100x better after. It would be nice if they could spend like 2 hours a day just walking around and shooting, perfecting their shot.
