And HEEEEEEERRRRRRRRREEEEEE we go.

We have historically started out slow and then peaked too early. I'm hopeful that this hot start means that maybe we will hit our stride at the right time as we go into the playoffs.

Lets re-visit this topic in March. I hope 60 happens.

Actually 61 games, but maybe with your new fangled math it's 60

Well, I did bet on the 'Over'. As of now, they only have to get 36 more wins the rest of the year. (Knock on wood)

What matters is the playoffs.

We've been a very good regular season team for the last decade -- playoff pretenders.

Neil's approach is to build around Golden State's eventual comedown. Iirc, Quick mentioned this prior to the draft.

Which seems to make sense. Anyone thinking they can compete with GSW this year is delusional. I'm not saying GSW is a 100% lock to win it all again, they could have injuries to multiple key players at the same time during the playoffs, but other than that, they are a 99.99% lock to win it all - again. Durant and Curry are both in their 30s now. Boogie, Klay and possibly Durant (if he opts out) will be free agents next summer. Curry is the only player of significance they have locked up for more than 2 years. They can't keep this together forever, and the guys they do keep are getting older and will begin to decline.

I like the plan to extend Dame's window by adding younger guys around him. Dame continues to get better every year. He hasn't even reached his peak, yet. By the time he does, guys like Nurk, Zach and hopefully Simons and Trent Jr. will just be entering theirs.

Much better than LAL thinking all they needed was LeBron and a few scrubs to challenge GSW in the West. Unless they get him some help, as great as LeBron is, LAL might not even make the playoffs, let alone challenge GSW. They are in win now mode with a lose now roster.

Recently yes. But in 2013-14, we started out 24-5 but fizzled down the stretch all the way to 5 seed but then beat Houston in playoffs. We completely collapsed late in Dame's rookie year too. Started 20-15 and finished 33-49.

I wouldn't say "very good." Two seasons ago, we only had 41 wins. The year before, 44 wins. And we've only hit 60 wins once in our entire history. 1990-91.

I don't see another game on the schedule we should lose.

Once we clinch the division with our 70th win on March 23, Terry will rest the starters over the last 10 games.

Still, with the way our bench is playing, I don't see them losing again until game 80 against the Nuggets at home on April 7. After we beat them easily in DEN on the 5th, I can see a let down two nights later when we play them in Portland. Classic trap game.

I love that you were so dedicated to that joke that you actually took the time to look at a schedule and figure out where they'd finally stumble. Good job!
