I don't think you can just narrow it down to SG's either. Having good handles and court vision are what elevates players to higher tiers: Labron, Butler, Tatum, Kawhi, Giannis. The ability to put the ball on the floor and dribble drive is what sets them apart

for Sharpe, he should have two templates: SGA and Jaylen Brown. Personally, I think Brown is a bit overrated. Maybe not anymore after his 8 turnover game 7, but that game clearly showed he needs better handles and better court vision. Sharpe should study that and vow to be better. SGA should be the goal. That's aiming awful high but I'll be comparing 20 year old Sharpe to 20 year old SGA this next season

Shaedon going from the academy didn't seem to help him any in learning, to put the ball on the floor with dribble drive and improving his handle. Yeah around screens with a run way is or on the break is where his comfort zone is.
Many North American players are not as fundamentally sound as Euro's. Doncic isn't nearly as athletics as Rim Shaedy but he can handle the ball, start and stop, and back someone down along with good passing. He uses his body in getting through seems very well.
 
Shae should watch tape after tape of Doncic and how he handles the ball.
 
Sharpes biggest weakness seems to be his ball handling which is something that can easily be fixed. I also think he lacks confidence in his ball handling which makes it even worse. As he plays more it will improve.

didn’t Drexler also struggle early on with ball handling? I remember him looking at ball when he dribbled but had great vision even with head down.

He did, he was a bull in a china closet as he would put his head down and drive. Ramsey hated it in the beginning.

Drexler even led the team in assists per game in 1991-1992, in both the regular season and the playoffs.

His finishing at the rim can be unreal.
There seems to be one time every game where I see him seemingly stuck in a bad position and I think for sure he won't get a shot off, then I see him floating in the air with his arms contorted in a way that he can softly lay it in.
 
I'm not seeing ball handling issues. I think he's not being aggressive, except for in spots, because it's summer league. He seems to get to the rim at will when he wants to.

Isn’t ball handling the third hardest skill to develop after passing, defensive positioning/ defense in general? I mean the drills are straightforward but it takes incredible amounts of time and effort. Maybe Im wrong but this is the impression Ive had for awhile. Thoughts forum? (Ready for a Weisenhemier dissertation lol).

I think he should have a better season. But here’s the thing, I’m not looking for Scoot to be successful in the same way as Shaedon. I want Scoot to lead this team. I want to see him average 8 assists. I want him to look in control and run the offense.

I want to see Shae average 25.
 
Do they play him at small forward? Saw an article that has him there.
