Shaedon going from the academy didn't seem to help him any in learning, to put the ball on the floor with dribble drive and improving his handle. Yeah around screens with a run way is or on the break is where his comfort zone is.it is an important skillset
some SG's have it...Booker, DeRozan, LaVine; many don't. For Klay, it's never been necessary, but he's kind of unique. And those hybrid guards like Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell are bad comps for Sharpe (better comps for where Ant needs to be)
I don't think you can just narrow it down to SG's either. Having good handles and court vision are what elevates players to higher tiers: Labron, Butler, Tatum, Kawhi, Giannis. The ability to put the ball on the floor and dribble drive is what sets them apart
for Sharpe, he should have two templates: SGA and Jaylen Brown. Personally, I think Brown is a bit overrated. Maybe not anymore after his 8 turnover game 7, but that game clearly showed he needs better handles and better court vision. Sharpe should study that and vow to be better. SGA should be the goal. That's aiming awful high but I'll be comparing 20 year old Sharpe to 20 year old SGA this next season
He did, he was a bull in a china closet as he would put his head down and drive. Ramsey hated it in the beginning.Sharpes biggest weakness seems to be his ball handling which is something that can easily be fixed. I also think he lacks confidence in his ball handling which makes it even worse. As he plays more it will improve.
didn’t Drexler also struggle early on with ball handling? I remember him looking at ball when he dribbled but had great vision even with head down.
His finishing at the rim can be unreal. He needs a better handle to get by his first defender but he has shown he can be an elite finisher at the rim. Also, he has impeccable footwork in the post.
Wish there was someone in his ear about building that skillset because not many other shooting guards can do that anymore.
Isn’t ball handling the third hardest skill to develop after passing, defensive positioning/ defense in general? I mean the drills are straightforward but it takes incredible amounts of time and effort. Maybe Im wrong but this is the impression Ive had for awhile. Thoughts forum? (Ready for a Weisenhemier dissertation lol).Sharpes biggest weakness seems to be his ball handling which is something that can easily be fixed. While losing a ton of games....under Billups
Sharpe/Ant for OG/Barnes?That's cool. I bet he'd love playing for the Raptors.
Baseball is a great sportI didn't know Shaedon likes boring sports
It's not a sport, it's a pastime. I'll give it this much: it's less boring than Cricket.Baseball is a great sport
Sharpe/Ant for OG/Barnes?
Dame/Barnes/OG/Grant/Nurk
Which stage is this? Still bargaining?
Edit: Oh I missed Scottie Barnes as part of the trade somehow. That's actually reasonable, but I really, really do not want to trade Sharpe. I'd trade literally anyone on the team before Sharpe.Sharpe/Ant for OG/Barnes?
Dame/Barnes/OG/Grant/Nurk
OK, he seems to be back to making dunks.

"holy shit" just uttered from my mouth as I watched that.
I think he should have a better season. But here’s the thing, I’m not looking for Scoot to be successful in the same way as Shaedon. I want Scoot to lead this team. I want to see him average 8 assists. I want him to look in control and run the offense.Unpopular opinion: He could have a better season than Scoot.
You’d be surprised. Stoudamire hated playing back here. Too many distractions. And Terrell Brandon said he’d never want to be back home. That's cool. I bet he'd love playing for the Raptors.
It's not unpopular if both players have a good season.Unpopular opinion: He could have a better season than Scoot.
