You’re right, I’m just saying I think has he ended up here most of us wouldn’t have minded it.

If he ended up here, the same fans who seem to think he's a stud in New Orleans, would be like *snort* lol, stupid blazer fan. neil olshey wasted money on him! He's not going to lead them to the title!" etc.

It's the same dog and pony show that has been done for decades now.

Maybe? I dunno I know I crap on NO more than I should, but I try to be fair minded about it. The mind is a tricky thing though so, maybe?

On topic though. I’ll be frustrated if NO doesn’t do anything with TPE (shallow maybe!), and if this is the roster going into the year, but I don’t think the Blazers 12 games worse, maybe a few because of Phoenix, Dallas, Memphis and the Lakers and really just the West in general getting better, but 12 seems like a lot...

That's someone prediction it doesn't mean anything. I guess people forgot that we beat a hot Utah twice in the second half. We swept Oklahoma. Minnesota we play even same with Denver. I think we actually might have improved over last year team. If we get the 2nd half Nurk and upgrades our shooting with Curry Trent and even Nik. Can Harkless keep his head on straight for full season. Can Zach improve from last year. You know what your going get from Dame CJ Aminu every night. If this all happened we will be better.

The thing I don't get about the whole "other teams had injuries" excuse for our 49 win season - we weren't the only ones who played these teams minus their "star" players. Every other team in the West got to play UTA without Gobert, MIN without Butler and SAS without Kawhi. So, why didn't all those other teams win 49 games or win 13 games in a row?

I get so tired of hearing this "excuse" for our team overachieving.

San Antonio with 38.5 wins.....when they replaced their MVP who didn't play last year (still only 2 games behind the Blazers) with someone who will actually be productive. They have reason to complain as well.

The same people that said Rondo isn’t that good after he joined the Lakers, to support their opinion the Blazers are still better than Lakers, are now making him out to be a superstar to support Their opinion that Blazers are better than Pelicans because of Rondo leaving...
I didn't say that.

Yeah, I truly believe that if Nik Stauskas signed for the minimum on any West playoff team there would be those in here saying they added a shooter and got better than us.

Our team is mediocre and hasn't added veteran talent in two years (Nurkic).

37-45 is a little grim but they clearly won't be very good. We are treading water. I'd guess 43-39 and an 8th or 9th seed.

I'm a big Ed Davis fan, but who knew he was worth 12 wins?

If losing Ed and Shabazz decreases our win total by 12, shouldn't it also increase BRK's win total by the same amount?

Something isn't adding up here. Must be the new math.

We won the season series against the champs...1 of those games they were at full power.

And the one game we lost to them, we weren't at full power. No Nurk. Meyers started at center and Ed Davis played less than 8 minutes, got hurt and missed the entire second half. And, we only lost by 7 in Oakland.

If we're going to throw out all the games we won when other teams were at less than full strength, we should probably throw out this loss as well.

Nurkic wasn't even veteran talent. We haven't added a legitimate vet since Afflalo.

I couldn't have said it better.

Aminu, Ed Davis, Seth Curry, Nurk, Mo, Bazz….all vet talent ..Chris Kaman, Earl Watson, Mo Williams, Mason Plumlee was as well as Gerald Henderson..we have added vets to the roster.

I was thinking via trade. Plumlee was going into his 3rd year.

37 wins??? Hahaha. 7% chance of getting to second round? Smh. No respect.

I certainly hope our players don't care about the dumb ass rankings as much as some in this forum.

They haven't even started preseason and you guys are worried about respect over ridiculous rankings?

This is a going to be wonderful thread over the next week or two. :bwpopcorn:

Assuming we stay healthy, I don't agree with 37 wins, but no one should have an issue with 7% chance of getting out of the first round. That's not what we do.
