From Twitter:

"GOripCity has learned that the BLAZERS have scheduled a PRESS CONFERENCE for around 5pm tomorrow FRIDAY 4/9/19 'No INFO'"

Why?

To announce that to stem any further leg injuries, Greg Oden will have both legs amputated.

Paul Allen's health?

Just a guess by the way. I can't imagine them making a major team announcement hours before a game.

I think that's right. He was supposed to get some news last week, and there was radio silence. Silence in this kind of issue means bad news. I think it has something to do with ownership/management issues.

Connecting the obvious dots...

Nah, they are just having him put down like a broken down race horse.

Actually, race horses are sometimes killed by having a metal rod inserted in their anus, and then being electrocuted.

The Vulcans plan to recoup their investment in Oden by showing it on PPV.

Allen was at the Clipper game and aside from being bald, he looked more healthy than I've seen him look in quite some time.

maybe they will announce oden got league pass and really does wanna watch a half of blazer ball

From reading that, it is pretty clear that KP is done in Portland, and Nate should be looking for a job too. What's surprising, though, is that they obviously intend to tear down the team, trade Roy, and start over. Damn Vulcans.

barfo

After ataining LEED certification, the Vulcan's are announcing that the Rose Garden will be destroyed and hauled to the dump.

Part of a jobs creation program.

Trail Blazers Take the 'LEED' During NBA Green Week

April 9 ceremony will commemorate first major pro team to play in LEED Gold facility

PORTLAND, Ore. – In conjunction with NBA Green Week, a league-wide sustainability awareness initiative from April 1-9, the Portland Trail Blazers will commemorate the Rose Garden’s LEED Gold certification with a LEED plaque unveiling ceremony on April 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden’s North entrance.

NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver will join Trail Blazers President Larry Miller, Senior Scientist Allen Hershkowitz of the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and a representative of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to officially recognize the Trail Blazers becoming the first major pro sports team to earn a coveted LEED Gold rating from the USGBC.

Maybe "THE" is getting a raise!

Maybe "THE" is getting a raise!

Part of the Blazers "Viagra to the employees, be like Greg" promotion, no doubt.

BTW - I think that the S2 forum needs to get in on this LEED certification as well. We recycle the same threads over and over - no matter what happened in the real world.

Portland is the "slow food" capital of the United States? What an odd claim.

Not really.......basically the Portland culinary scene is really focused on locally sourced organic food rather than chains/fast food restaurants. Italy considers itself as of the slow food capital of Europe. A surprisingly large amount of people don't realize that Portland is one of top food cities in the nation.

Juwan takes some of the worst fouls ever. That could have easily gone in.
