Supposedly Stotts said during his Zoom call the other day that Adams is primarily going to be a practice body, nothing more. Which feels like a real waste of a roster spot.

This offseasons point guard class is awful! Most likely can’t afford Dragic and Vanvleet, and outside of those two, I wouldn’t really be interested in anyone over Adams. The only other guy that interested me was Cameron Payne but the Suns locked him up.

You forgot this guy:

Not sure why anyone would expect anymore for Adams or really any player that we could pick up. This is an 8 game season going forward and Stotts will go with a rotation of proven players and likely keep a tight rotation. Not really any time for end of bench players unless it's a blowout.

The number of players who (a) could play in the NBA and (b) genuinely don't care about the NBA is pretty small. Only Diamantidis and Llull are clear examples. Campazzo's coach for Argentina certainly thinks he's going to make the jump.

And you’re wrong. The list of Europeans that came over only to go back because they didn’t enjoy it as much is as long, if not longer, than the list of Europeans that came and stuck around. Perfect example would be Rudy. Teodosić a more recent one. And just for another example; I have a family member, who’s European and played in the NBA, who feels similarly about the experience for a lot of Europeans.

There are a bunch of guys playing in Europe right now that are good enough to play in the league, or have played in the league, that just aren’t interested. Money isn’t everything.

I can see it physically, but not in style of play.

But remember how Luke Babbitt looked like Jerry West down in that league. This kid won't play. I can understand people being interested in a new addition to the roster, but cmon.

I added the disclaimer that it's just a highlight reel, and a G League one at that... The way he positions his body and sets up teammates is very reminiscent of Chris Paul. Whether that will translate to the NBA is a separate question.

I may be wrong but not because of that. Notice I was talking about players that NEVER CAME OVER, which is clearly the only relevant group. Yes of course a lot of players (incidentally, Campazzo is not European, of course) didn't stick, but every basketball player thinks they're different.

I think a more perfect example would be Spanoulis. Or Juan Carlos Navarro. Rudy stuck around much longer and had much more success than either of them, and they were bigger stars in Europe. (Also Rudy came over when younger.) So try harder with your examples. But of course, all of them are examples of PLAYERS WHO CAME OVER.

Only the first group is relevant, and actions speak louder than words. I bet half the players who say "I'm only interested in [Current European Team] have their eyes set on the league. Prove they don't.

Of course, very few players of any note would be interested in the Blazers, unless they had no other options. They want a chance to start, and Dame is not only going to play the vast majority of the minutes, he very rarely misses games.

Watch Campazzo end up in Dallas or San Antonio. Both have already expressed interest, and of course San Antonio can get Campazzo's compatriot Manu lean on him.

Campazzo isn’t European but Spain is a lot closer culturally to Argentina than America. The draw of the nba isn’t what it used to be. He plays for the biggest club in Europe, gets paid millions, and lives a better life than he would in the states. He would also have to pay Madrid nearly $6M if he wanted to come over.

And if you must have an example, Sergio Llull.
