It’s kind of funny. Portland holds its own lottery every off-season. They bring in every cast-off they can find and hope they get lucky with one of them. This is what you do when you can’t make trades.

Interesting when the last two years trades netted the Blazers both Roco and Nance.

Yes, those were modest trades, but Portland can never get the guys they really want. Dame said as much just a month or so ago.

so now free agency and trades are the same thing?

lol @ modest. Olshey has acquired 3 starters thru trades just in the past year.

Yeah i think he's just confused.
Free Agency has been bleak for sure.
Trades though are the one thing that is keeping the Blazers in the playoffs.
Now if he wants to call is mediocrity then i can understand that a bit. Not many like first round exits.

Yes, essentially. Portland can’t trade for big-time players and they can’t pick them up through free agency. It’s been that way for awhile. Nurkic was probably the last really significant trade acquisition, but that was in 2018. And when was the last time Portland acquired a superstar either through a trade or a free-agent pickup?

Enough with the avatar. Should I post a man's hairy ass as my avatar?

There are a couple people on this forum who are so doom and gloom will not call them out by name but I swear they should go see if Blazers ( Hate ) Edge needs another writer so they can help spread the contempt and hate they seem to be good at doing lately.

I mean the last 2 moves are solid low risk / high reward type moves but some are so waist deep in NeO hate that unless he brought Kobe back from the dead and put him on the team they have very little positive to say about the Blazers.

All i have to say to these type of fans and anyone who agrees with the BS Blazers Edge writes then maybe it's time you decide IF you really want to be a Blazers fan or not cause this constant negativity is getting F'ing old and that is why sometimes I go off and tend to be a complete A-Hole to people cause this type of attitude pisses me off. I am not saying this team is perfect or Neo is perfect but if as a fan all you can do is bitch and moan maybe it's time you look at WHY your a fan of this team and decide IF maybe it's time to move on. --- just my 2 cents

I know this might not be a popular opinion but the truth is the truth and for better of worse I say things how I see them even if I am a blunt A-hole about it at times.

Also this is a general rant not aimed at this topic but more this forum in general -- Go Blazers

Stop trying to define what a fan is. They can be however they want. You don't get to decide.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

If you wanted to, it wouldn't be against the rules. @crandc had avatars with muscular, mostly-unclothed men for years for the same reason.
I could make mine "Loyal to the Boil"

Believe me i could have made that much more indecent.

Is that a battery pack or combustable engines she's looking at?

How many franchises routinely trade for superstars? You make it sound like this is common.

In the last 3 years:

The Lakers got three.
The Clippers got two.
The Nets got two.
The Suns got one.
The Mavericks got one.
The Raptors got one.
