Dorell wright isn't coming off his best year. He had his best year in golden state

Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews, Mo Williams, CJ McCollum, Will Barton, Earl Watson and Allen Crabbe. Are you saying these men have wings and glitter?

How many players have the Jazz lost for nothing in the last 14 months? Last summer, they lost both Boozer and Korver, without getting anything in return. This summer, it's Jefferson, Millsap and Williams. Fuck, that's a halfway decent starting 5 right there - all gone, without getting a single player in return. I'd hate to be a Jazz fan these days...

I'm pretty sure Boozer and Korver left the Jazz three years ago...

Yeah, I think your right. Make that 26 months, not 14...
Sure am glad I'm a Blazers fan and not a Jazz fan. The Blazers are stockpiling cheap talent and the Jazz are giving it away for free.

Oshley is the man
Mike Tokito: Mo Williams’ agent, Mark Bartlestein, confirms the PG’s agreement w/#Blazers. Said previous relationship with Olshey, Stotts was big factor.
Bartlestein sees Williams serving 6th man role with Blazers. "I think it's going to be a great situation for him."
We are all clearly missing the true meaning behind this.
Mo Williams + King James best friends in CLE.
King James potentially free agent this year.
LeBron has said Oregon is like his "other" home. Loves playing at the RG, loves Duck football, and Nike is located here.

Mo is a starter. Great pickup!
Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes - #Blazers G Damian Lillard on adding Mo Williams via text: "It's a great pickup for us. It's making us a better team."
Don't know much about Williams but I am glad to hear this.
My favorite part of this deal:
Now when Mo Williams randomly drops 40 points, it wont be on us.
It will be for us.
I assume that Harris has been waived? If not, that's 16 players under contract right now.

I thought the 15-man restriction didn't start until October... or does it not lift (allowing 21 or however many players) until just before training camp?
I think this was a move that was made because Neil saw two things in SL:
1) CJ is not a point guard.
2) Crabbe and Barton are not even close to being ready to contribute on a nightly basis.
This could signal a coming trade, but I think it's more likely that Harris gets dumped and we go into training camp with this roster. I think CJ ends up as the backup shooting guard and depending on how he plays he could very well end up starting before the end of the year.
I love this pickup though. Neil is easily the best GM we've had since Trader Bob, and it's possible he's better than Bob. We shall see.

An NBA team can have a maximum of 15 players on its roster during a season (and up to 20 during the offseason).
Late October/early November (date varies by year)
- Last day of offseason
- Roster limit decreases to 15 players
Harris' contract becomes guaranteed on 10/31. I'm not sure how it works until then, but he clearly isn't going to be on the roster at the end of camp.
