Btw, OKC winning by 10. The only thing that would balance out this loss is if Utah loses to OKC.:biglaugh:

OKC seems to always give up any lead that they may have. I don't expect tonight to be any different. But I guess anything's possible.

Pray to the god of Durant. (Up 13)

Sergio was 0-2 and had 2 of our 13 assists, 4 rbs, in 14 mins.

Bayless 1-11 (got blocked 3 times) 0 assists, 2 rbs, in 25 mins.

Both had bad games, as did the whole team, but it's still obvious Bayless is a SG and not anything resembling a PG.

I still don't get why Bayless fans can't root for him without trying to prove he's a "PG"?

He can be a good SG for us. Why attack Sergio and make shit up?

Bayless will be a Blazer or he won't be. Sergio's success will not impact Bayless one way or another, because he's not ever going to be a PG in this league, and Sergio is never going to be a SG in this league.

Apples and Oranges.

Nate's only 44. Much older players have played in the NBA.. grab a jersey Nate and play PG for us!

That doesn't surprise me. Brunson has gotten around everywhere in the world.
Brunson played for the 36ers right before he played for the Blazers.

Apparently no-one here liked him. Allegedly had a very bad attitude from what I've heard.

Sergio's play of late actually makes me want Jarrett Jack back.

He's fallen that far in your eyes huh.

Sad isn't it.

But seriously, there's no denying Jack is a better player than Sergio. Not that that's saying much, but it is what it is.

I expect Bayless to struggle. He's a rookie. The main reason he's even seeing the floor is because Sergio is playing so poorly.

Obviously KP and Nate disagree with you on that, as they jumped through hoops all last year to get rid of him, and promptly re-signed Sergio.

Actually, he's getting Channing's minutes. You haven't noticed all the smallball?

re-signed sergio? he is on a rookie contract, they exercised his team option, which would be stupid not to, since it's ridiculously cheap.

You think Nate didn't love Jarrett Jack?

Bayless is getting minutes because the Blazers are grooming him so they can shit-can Sergio. It's that simple. Sergio has no place on this team.

Cheap?

Wow, you must be really rich.

Fact is, they've had him 2 years and decided they don't want JJ and would rather keep Sergio as they see him as a big part of their future.

So you're saying KP is a liar, or he's a moron.

Maybe it's just you don't understand basketball.

That seems more likely.

He's being paid $1 million, which is nothing in NBA terms. You think they would have done better by letting him walk? They could at least trade him for a 2nd rounder.....

I definitely don't agree with your basketball positions, that's for sure. I consider that to be a good thing.

They could, they didn't, they won't. They dumped JJ instead.

He's a major part of the Blazers Dynasty to come.

Learn to love him.

They didn't because it would have been stupid on every level. Even if Sergio looked like the worst player on the planet, they still could have gotten a future second because some team would have rolled the dice on his "potential." (Not that he has any, anymore)

This major part of the Blazers Dynasty got beat out for the backup PG position today and couldn't even get garbage minutes until about 3 minutes left....

Yeah....Dynasty point guard......

Part of a dynasty? Funniest quote of 2009 so far.

Sergio will be a bit part in a trade before the deadline or this summer. Nate is obviously done with him as are most of the fans. He's become a liability on both offense and defense.

come on man, in the realm of the NBA his contract is cheap as all hell. Quit acting stupid

Or KP's.

"What I like best about Sergio is the fact that he's a gamer," said Pritchard. "Against probably the best team in the world, Argentina, Sergio came in and changed the whole game. I just didn't understand in the next game why he didn't even come into the game until the third quarter. But, the kid has confidence. In this league if you have confidence and ability, then you have a chance at success. He's a great kid as well, and I'm even more confident now that he's going to help us, perhaps immediately."

"Sergio is the real deal," adds Pritchard, himself a star point guard at the University of Kansas. "I understand point guards. They can't fool me. Other players may be able to fool me, but point guards can't. We expect big things from Sergio," he added.

"We like Sergio, and we are not in any discussions,'' Pritchard said. "We want to see this team, and we want to see this team grow. It's awfully early to be even talking about this stuff.''
