Tonight. Big time. Another big game (front page of ESPN.com) against a city that shouldn't have this franchise....and they get embarassed. Oden no-shows once again, someone please light a fire under the blazers ass. Sure, we're in the playoff hunt but this kind of shit shows why we're just not on that next level yet.

way to represent the PNW hosers.

That was the worst game of season, bar none.

....and name one person who thought we were?

Frustrating loss, for sure. But I have been coming to this site less and less, because of threads just like this. I thought I'd give it another try tonight, maybe to discuss what went wrong, and sure enough...the first thread I see is entitled "Blazers Suck". This is the best year we've had in a long, long time. And yet I can't find a site to talk about it that doesn't sicken me with negativity!

No they don't.

The Coaching is what sucks.

Says the guy with the Mo Cheeks > Nate McMillan caption under his avatar.

Nate is horrible, but Mo couldn't even carry Nate's clipboard.

We'll be fine. We're young and we're going to have these kind of games. I'm confident we'll get rolling soon.

look, this is the first game in what should be a big rival right now for the blazers. this is like losing to a Lakers team..but one that SUCKS. We have a history with this team and it sucks to lose to rivals that are terrible, have a terrible record and have lame people in the stadium cheering. makes me sick. no excuse to lose to the god damn Oklahoma City Thunder.

Cute.

They disgraced the Northwest. Clay Bennett = lighting a fat cigar tonight. No excuse to lose to this team, especially given the history between blazers and the sonics.

Please. The Thunder are riding high on a little run here, but they are a lottery team for the foreseeable future. Tell me this: would you trade teams with OKC right now if you could? You're nuts if you say yes.

Tonight's win didn't make Clay Bennett any happier than other recent wins -- he already got what he wanted. Let's see how many cigars he'll be lighting in a few years when Durant has jumped ship and his shanghaied team is crossing its fingers for another lucky lottery break, trying desperately to break even once the honeymoon is over.

no doubt. The melodrama is pretty silly...

what a pathetic thread title... troll much?

STOMP

Its what he's best at. I'm having flashbacks to his days BBF when he would post about 20 baiting OT threads in a day.

I don't give a shit about in a few years. I'm fully confident the Thunder will suck for a long time and their fanbase will wander and flutter away.

You said it yourself. They are a lottery team.

I can't tolerate losing to a lottery team, no matter the excuse. Add to that we have somewhat of a rivarly and need to get some revenge for our Northern Neighbors in Seattle, we fell flat on our face to a bad team.

This loss definitely stings a bit (and my blood pressure was not good during the game), but I don't think it's time to panic. Looking at the big picture, we are 30 and 19, which is nice. We are in the hunt for homecourt adantage in the playoffs. So far, the Blazers are surpassing my (and many others') expectations.

I hope our guys and Nate can learn from this loss. We need to start the game with that sense of urgency that we've showed in the 4th the past 3 games. I'm looking forward to the Knicks game to see how we respond to this loss.

We'll win, but not because we're more prepared or anything. Only because we'd be at home, and we play extremely better at home.

It was a bad loss from start to finish. I can understand the emotion from fans.

It's not a big deal to me. It's the NBA. These things happen. Call me in a week if it's a 5 game skid.

I'm not panicking. we are at a good record, but to lose THIS game of all games, really stings and sucks. And now we have to hear about the stupid "should we have drafted KD bullshit" now that Oden played like shit. just sucks. another high profile game, we don't even show up. Just like opening night.

Rolling on defense? Because we've been rolling along on defense, and it's been killing us.

and Cleveland lost to Washington. Boston got their shit handed to them on a platter at home against Indiana. The Pacers also beat the Lakers. Milwaukee bitch slapped Dallas without their best player.

Its competition. Its professional competition. You seem to think the NBA is about reading rosters and thats that. Thats why they roll the ball out there and let them play.

But continue spewing if thats your Friday night entertainment. Kewl.

Easier to quote it then type it out myself . . . I feel the same.

So, are you saying that ANY team that loses to a lottery team at some point in the season sucks?

Don't get me wrong -- I really REALLY wanted the Blazers to kick some dirt on Bennett's sleazeball, carpetbaggin franchise. It didn't happen tonight. But you know what? It will. And tomorrow morning, we will STILL be contending for the postseason, and the Blunder will STILL be wishing on ping-pong balls.

What's the beef between Cleavland and Washington? Indiana and Boston? Indiana and Lakers? Mil and Dallas?
sorry, this was a big game we were supposed to embarrass the thunder due to them moving from the NW. first matchup between #1 and #2 in the draft.

it was a bigger game than people seem to hold here. its not just they were a bad team, there is a certain vendetta for some.

No, its just supremely disappointing to lose to a lotto team. Unless you just want to say "well, we won other games" and leave it at that. losing sucks, especially to douchebags like Clay Bennett.

You might read that kind of shit around these fickle forums. But, anybody with a semblance of knowledge about the NBA understands that coming back from microfracture surgery and relearning your body compared to a full year of playing is like apples and oranges. One game is a sure a great outlook when comparing draft picks when speaking about guys who are 21 and 22 years old respectively.

I'm skimming through this thread quickly but I'll put a shout out to ADP . . . he is clearly a huge Blazer fan so I say go ahead and vent ADP, I hate losses too.

Ugh what a way to start a weekend . . .

yeah, i know that. but most nba fans look at the short term and I hear it from my non-blazer friends and it sucks.

Do you think there's "beef"? I bet you the players couldn't give two fucks about the Thunder. Its another game in a season of 82. I'm sure that the first thing on the players mind was getting at that damn Clay Bennett because he wanted to bring Oklahoma City its first professional sports franchise.

probably not amoung the players. but for the NW, I wanted the blazers to destroy the thunder. I didn't even like the sonics at all but I thought it sucked they moved and clay bennett lied about his intentions to move the team.

I smile at my non-Blazer fan friends who talk shit, because I'm content knowing that they couldn't hold a candle when it comes to comparing knowledge of the game.
