Do these refs not understand the game of basketball?

He is in drop, just not deep drop. That was always the thing with Clingan. Scouts thought he’d be able to be more than just a deep drop guy.

Hard not to see the Marc Gasol comparisons.
i like this comp a lot better than przybilla. i just don't know if he has or will develop gasol's touch.

i dunno how useful he can be in the current nba with guys like wemby/chet/porzingis manning the 5 position.

also, i really want to see what he can do as roll man with more spacing in the league.

Gasol didn’t have great touch at the rim either, his TS was always pretty poor for a center. But he could shoot a bit.
 
i like the kid, just didn't want to draft him given where the league is going.
I mean, looking at who went after, I’m not gonna be too worried. I’m sure one or two players drafted after him will be better, that’s how it usually is, but Clingan will be good too. Probably outplay his draft position.
 
Seeing two Asians on the bench is odd
