Scoot is going to be a major star. I can't believe the Hornets let him go when he could easily fit next to LaMelo as a dynamic duo.

I have some reservations about Scoot-Sharpe as championship caliber duo but for now, the Blazers will get a superstar point guard.

It should be fun.

Ant Scoot Sharpe is such a great young core. Dame Grant are two great vets. If we can get another good vet it's a great mix of young upside and veterans to win now. Also add some MLE or vet min size to balance the positions.

More excited for this roster than I've been in years. If Cronin can keep the Scoot Ant Sharpe trio I might have to take back some of the fury I've unleashed on him the last few years.
You're in my head.

I'm scared.

I do have to say, having a guy who will put ALL the pressure on the defense and is downhill personified, thats exciting.

I do admit, I dont know how he is as a facilitator. Anyone enlighten me on that?
I read somewhere (maybe The Athletic?) that he might have been a bit too unselfish at times this past year, and it might have been mistaken as coasting (knowing he was just playing out the season until the draft). Not sure if that's true, or even a positive, but I get the sense he's definitely a guy who likes to pass.

Im legitimately excited for our future with a Scoot/Sharpe backcourt, this could be such a fun and damn good backcourt to watch with how athletic these two are. I'm a little sad because I assume Dame will want out and Dame has given his blood, sweat and tears to this team and done so much for us and regardless what happens with Dame I will always love him. No ill will from me if he decides its time to head somewhere else.
Why would Dame want out?
the Blazers just got two super talented players on rookie contracts. Now it’s time to add some vets.
if the Blazers just have a middle of the road bench, they will make the playoffs.

Miles Bridges went nuts and should be in jail. Gordon Hayward slow to recover from bad injury. Hornets needed a big wing that can get buckets.

I hope everyone realizes, after these two tanking seasons, we’re going to be fucking bad wheb(not if now) we trade Dame.
Huge fucking mistake…incompetent organization…so glad I got rid of my tickets for next year

Truly unbelievable. We will have the best backcourt in the league in a few years if we dont fuck this up.

Oh yeah no problem we’ll just continue to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait

Hey, I'd love for Dame to stay, I'd love for Dame to retire a Blazer and hopefully win a championship or 2 with us before he hangs it up. I'm just taking what Dame has been saying for face value which is he isn't interested in playing with another young guy. If he wants out I get it, I'm all for getting more young talent and future 1st's, but I'm equally as happy with him staying on our team

You do realize it takes time, right? It was gonna take years anyway since any trade we would have done would have fucked us now and in the future.

This was the right thing to do. Glad I'm patient.

If the Blazers keep Scoot I think Dame gets traded probably in the next week or two. Probably to Miami or Brooklyn.

I honestly have no idea what you just said

Leave it up many Blazers fans to get overhyped about our players and get so over the top excited with expectations that they set that they’ll start to moan and groan when their over the top expectations don’t pan out like they like thought and start looking for scapegoats. It’s like looking at it like the glass is half empty than half full.

Scoot hasn’t played one second of NBA ball yet guys, let’s cool the talk about superstar and best back court in a couple years etc until we actually see it come to fruition in the future

Disagree 100% with this statement. The Blazers need to rebuild and this is a great start to that. This is the most excited I've been for the Blazers in years and if I was local would be buying season tickets. Will the Blazers be good next year (assuming Dame is traded), no. But it's time to let Dame go and start over and I couldn't be more excited for the Blazers to draft Scoot!

Do people think we are keeping Scoot? It seems like a trade would have been announced by now. I feel like this clinches a Dame trade if we don't trade Scoot. I guess Dame to Brooklyn for five billions 1sts.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results -- this sums up this pick if we TRY and convince Dame to stay and that is the truth

When was the last time we took a guy who is considered a #1 overall pick-level guy and then tried to convince one of the league's highest-paid players coming off his best season to stay?

I have no idea how you can say this is doing the same thing we've done in the past.
