I personally think it'd have to be after the draft lottery, when teams can solidify their plans around not getting Flagg next season.
Could be at the deadline.

Ayton is a good starting center. His contract will be an expiring deal next year.

If we see a playoff team starting center go out with an injury then Ayton could make a ton of sense.

From the Blazers end you need at least a FRP back or else just keep him and see what may be available later, all the way up to his free agency with sign and trades.

I don't think I'd describe him as "good". He doesn't get to the FT line, loves the mid range jumper and is an average at best rim defender. He doesn't elevate a team, he just isn't bad.

...yet STILL our best player...and his dunderhead teammates will never catch up. He's the only Blazer who talks like a black man, so Jason Quick wants him gone.

Atlanta is one of the few teams with no incentive to tank next season, as the Spurs own their pick:

I understand the need to suck in order to keep getting lottery picks, but rebuilding a team can't work if you keep trading all the players away.

Before you try keeping middling vets to win you need to have ONE player to build around. We don't.

It can if you have players already lined up at their positions.

Are you kidding me? He’s a young 18/10+ center who is fitting in well here. He’s worth at least several picks. Holy moly the DA hate is getting real

We should trade him for that Wemby guy.

He's only worth what you can get for him. The Suns didn't get much, did they?
