Doesn't have to be Whiteside. But we can't get both Parsons and whiteside
Gasol might work as well. Maybe even someone out of left field like Larry Sanders

I agree with that. I'd place him in the 8-15ish range. He's not Durant/LeBron elite, but he is next rung down.
Do you know what a level one max free agent is?
He isn't top tier. He hasn't made an all-star game. I'd be ecstatic if we got him. But it's foolish to say "curse is over" like we are a destination town now.
If we're offering Parsons, Whiteside either isn't interested or NO has a deal for a different C lined up. I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if that's our "big" move hours into free agency.

I don't have to know...it's just a term I listened to all night from Woj...take it up with him. If it makes you feel better to call me foolish, I'm happy for you. I do think we're a destination now but go ahead and mire in the muck of the lockout season for a decade...choicesDo you know what a level one max free agent is?

A few of us have been saying that for weeks while most of the forum were skeet skeet skeeting all over the place over white (snicker) sideThe dudes on the wojcast were saying that Dwight was a much better option than whiteside.
Maybe even his teammate, Mr. ZaZaDoesn't have to be Whiteside.

A level one max deal means his max is for a 0-6 year veteran. It doesn't mean anything more or less than that. It means his max deal is gonna be around $22 million/year. Where a level 3 max deal for a guy with 10+ years will be paid around $30 million/yearI don't have to know...it's just a term I listened to all night from Woj...take it up with him. Sanders, partially out of left field; some of us have mentioned him in the past (today I actually forgot about him BUT RipCityDSCPL reminded me about himDoesn't have to be Whiteside.

Man it's hard to cheer around here sometimes...everybody is a counter puncher

Straight shooter.Reminder of Parson Chat before free agency:
We made an offer, he's meeting with Dame...yeah...it's all smoke and mirrors....I'm cheering tonight..finally some news beyond Jake LaymanNothing to cheer for yet. Nobody has committed.
Feel like this is pretty much a done deal. He's meeting with MEM later? What are they going to offer him that we didn't? Would have been an issue if we didn't go full maxNothing to cheer for yet. Nobody has committed.
They were also saying they would only sign Howard to a 1 or 2 year deal.
Is our meeting with Chandler over?
Yes/no. I'm totally/not at all sure.Is our meeting with Chandler over?

Did you play swords with him in the mens bathroom or something?Straight shooter.
How is $24 mill./yr. a "hit" on his value? IF that's a hit... I wish I took a hit like that!Because, you know, Bleacher Report.

In addition to the Mavs' playoff chances being negatively impacted, it is also entirely possible that Parsons' value on the free-agent market could take a hit.
