If we renounce Roberts, Kaman, Hendo....Cut Montero and Alexander, Renounce Harkless....Sign Parsons to max. We have about 10 million, while retaining Crabbe and Meyers cap holds.

Renounce Meyers and we have about 17 million. Interesting. Cole Aldrich and Jarrett Jack?

Keep Meyers and offer Jack a 5-7 million per year deal?

You wouldn't have to give up that much.

To sign both we need $43.5M in cap space. We have apx. $26.5M in cap space (after renouncing Hendo, Kaman, Roberts). We'd need to clear $17M in cap space. That could look something like trading Davis($6.7M), Vonleh(2.7M), and renouncing Meyers ($7.7M), and cutting Connaughton or Alexander. We'd cut appx $18M from our roster. We could sign both and still have Crabbe, Harkless, and Plumlee off the bench. That's a guard, combo forward, and center. Sounds good to me.

Are you guys seriously reading what you are suggesting? Completely gutting the up and coming team to make mild upgrades at 2 positions. Reality check needed.

I'd hate to lose Davis, but that roster would make me smile!

Dude no. Harkless is gone if we signed Parsons. Dude is gonna get paid 12-14 million per year. Ed Davis is a contract worth a lot since he is so underpaid in this new world. We can't cut Connaughton, his salary is guaranteed.

We have 24.6 in cap space if we renounce Hendo, Kaman and Roberts.
 
So now chandler is meeting with memphis on monday. Holy fuck we couldn't get it done?
 
I think people are still hoping for something else because Parsons is not blowing their skirt up. He is the #17th ranked FA by Woj and to have to pay someone like that the max and that is the best we can do seems underwhelming it seems.

Whiteside isn't a mild upgrade...I agree on parsons tho. I hope we don't give him 20 mill

This isn't accurate.

According to Blazersedge's calculator, we get 25.3 million by cutting Cliff Alexander, Luis Montero, Hendo, Kaman, and Roberts. That's just 25.3

I think all things factored Whiteside is a mild upgrade over Plumlee, especially in the red flag department... But I haven't been sold on Whiteside to begin with because of those red flags.
 
Good imo. Bullet dodged and now maybe we can focus on Whiteside again. Maybe not who knows.
 
Parson's isn't worth waiting around 4 days for while all the other good players get gobbled up.
 
I want Parsons to be 100% sure with us. Would suck if he agreed in all the excitement tonight and then changed his mind. Give him time.
