I gotta be honest i am very mixed on this if it happens not because of Parsons on court stuff or even a little attitude it's his knees the scare the living BEEP out of me. I mean we were not willing to give Wes a deal last offseason but we give Parsons a max deal kind of makes me scratch my head a little.
Parsons last surgery was a repaired torn meniscus...minor surgery..Wes snapped his Achilles...not even in the same ball park..I've recovered from a torn meniscus playing tennis when I was in my late 30s...Parsons is young. I looked up his medical reports today and there were zero areas of concern. (assuming you trust his doctors)

I've recovered from a torn meniscus too, to almost 100% ...from an injury playing basketball in high school...but my knee hasn't been the same even so

I'm feeling good about this...he's a weapon Stotts will thrive with

I just realized Parsons is only 27 i thought he was a little older like 29 i guess it just seems like he has been around awhile - LOL

Problem is we wouldn't be at the highest level if we play only small ball. Meyers is a stretch 4, we can use Parsons, Aminu and Harkless as PFs, but we would need a reliable inside PF to have a well rounded team. We're lacking in Points in the Paint and just signing Parsons isn't gonna solve that

I was just talking about our ending unit (Final minute) when we want to spread the floor so Dame and CJ have room to attack the basket.

The only FA who is going to get us points in the paint is Dwight. Whiteside maybe on lobs. But overall our offense would be so much better if we got Parsons. But yes we still need a low post scorer.

Mine healed completely but as I was about 38, it took two years and a lot of dietary adjustments, walking and yoga but I've played a lot of tennis without concern and I'm 62. (surgery was 30k and I opted for the slow, cheaper option)

Im coming around to this the more I think of the line-ups we can put out there even if we dont sign anyone else we have so much versatility with parsons as a 3rd ball handler and shooter in the pick and roll. our offense will be VERY tough to stop and we can have crazy long death linups like

DL/CJ/Crabbe/Parsons/Aminu
DL/CJ/Crabbe/Parsons/Davis or Plums
CJ/Parsons/Crabbe/Aminu/Davis or Pums
CJ/Parsons/Crabbe/Aminu/Hark

Kudos to you man... good to hear... cheers! I was 17, it was a pretty bad tear, but I came back from it, lost a little speed, but I can still ball...I'm 31 still pretty young...I used to be a three point assassin...still can shoot it pretty good

Yes we need a rim protector, but those line ups with Aminu, Parsons and Harkless are interesting on D. Lot of switching possibilities.

A source described Chandler Parsons as "really impressed" with Portland's presentation, which included a four-year max offer and emphasized the Trail Blazers' vision for him.

It's time to howl at the moon! It's a great day to be a Blazer! We're just gettin' started in Rip City! Going to rock the world!

If we get Parsons I think we still keep Crabbe but we are most definitely calling about moving some players.

We will match any offer on Crabbe according to my sauces

If we get Parsons it really makes me think we are going to go hard after Howard as well. We wont' be able to max him but if we coudl give him a 4y/70+ he might be enticed by that.

That's barely Mozgov money

Shoutout to all the guys who might not be back...Kaman, etc..Roberts..last season was the first season in all my decades of being a fan that I loved every player from the top of the roster to the bottom of the bench...they were just great...Frazier, everyone.

Applaud

Kaman is coming back...oh wait that's Gasol

I think Howard is about to graduate from the 12 step program of growing up. They say bigs take longer to develop. If he sacrifices big bucks for success and character and comraderie, he'll want to be part of what we're building here. Health is my biggest concern with the guy...I have faith that Dame, CJ and Stotts can control the locker room and assert their calm confidence on a guy like him. He doesn't choose Portland, Portland chooses him
