Last paragraph:

Remember when Portland unloaded three players for two at the deadline (Robinson, Barton, and Claver for Afflalo and Gee)? At the time, it didn't make a ton of sense, as Portland didn't need to surrender one of Claver or Barton to make the deal work under the cap. At the time, I thought Portland was setting themselves up for another trade. However, now we know that Olshey just wanted that 15th spot open, so he could set himself up for his summer moves.

I assume he is eligible for the playoffs since it was not a trade? Better late then never. I guess they always figured they could add someone of his talent at any time in event that Dame or Blake might get hurt. He looks like he is quick, has handles, can pass, and shoot well enough from the outside to keep defenses honest. That is about as good as we can ask for....... for the money. Glad to finally have that 3rd PG.
From what I have seen he should take Blakes' place.

Looking at his actual time in the NBA, it would appear he cannot shoot a basketball.

Seems like an important skill for his chosen career.

People said the same about Sergio Rodriguez, yet if memory serves, you were quite the fan of his.

Haha, I immediately thought of Sergio. I loved Sergio. He had an amazing knack for hitting a player in their rhythm for a basket. That was joyful basketball, until Nate McNofun beat it out of Sergio, and the team.

Impressive exhibition. Too bad he's only five feet tall.

Also, throwing the ball at the guy's head should have been both a technical, and a beat down.

I liked what I saw. He tried some D-League passes that aren't going to fly here, but he tried, he's fearless, and he'll learn.

I'm told he was on the all defensive team in college?

Perfectly fine third PG and could replace blake after next year.

Turning out to be a pretty good signing by Neil. Looks like he could be a useful bench player for the Blazers in the future.
