Think hes a bust but sure why not
If GSW were willing to trade a 1st with Wiseman for GPII, I don’t think it matters whether or not he’s a bust if we just got Thybulle. We really need a backup big, we aren’t competing this year, and we get another 1st.

I’d do it.

Don't go selling KS short ... if Tince is the kind, does that make KS the god of hyperbole?
Like many of his posts: Nate doesn't believe what he's saying, he's just making sure I receive an appropriate amount of hate.

I dnt think they'd include a first.

You think we are better than the Pels?
Without your boy Zion... yeah. I don't think he'll be available for the play-in but that's just a shot in the dark. I think he'll come back and then be injured again but we'll see.

The warriors are not giving us a 1st to make the trade. Long term I want him. I like his potential/length. And he would give us depth if there is an injury. But how much better is he this year than Watford and Eubanks? I don't know because he never plays.

I'm a hoops ignoramus, but it seems to me that Thybulle is a pretty good replacement for Hart, at least on defense.

He is an upgrade on defense. He is not the ball handler, rebounder or fast break artist that Hart is. But, on the perimeter, he is an elite defender.

If Hart and GPII both end up leaving, we are going to see a lot fewer Sharpe lobs.

We might be at the start of seeing a lot more of Trendon - and he is a very good passer, especially for a big. Add Justise - and there are still good lob passers on the roster. I doubt both GP2 and Justise are going out, if either one is.

Why are Lillard and Simons such poor lob passers? Seems like something you could practice and improve....seems like Grant is bad too.

I think Hart/GPII are better at the fast break lobs though.

Other teams swing for the fences. Portland is just happy to get it out of the infield.

We're still ducking the tax after these moves, right?

Bench has no proven shooters. These changes are lateral at best. But what are you gonna do. Some owners/GMs swing for the fences; go all in. POR just doesn't have what it takes to do that. They need two additional players better than Grant and then things get interesting.

And you expected that with the assets we have?

2 players better than grant? You just expected that? Just think about it for a second and then laugh that you ever thought about that.

It's funny seeing the same people who really wanted thybulle the last couple of years hate the trade where we gave up nothing for him..

Love the trade.

Out: Hart @ $13M

In: Thybulle ($4.4M), Reddish ($6.0M), Arcidiacono ($1.8M) = $12.2M

So Blazers cut ~$800k in salary. I wouldn't call that a bunch.
