I heard on the radio he is a two time all defense team. When is the last time we had that?

Bro Cam and Knox are gleague caliber players, if that. Thybulle is fine but is tough but strictly a one way player. We did nothing today to help this team while adding very little for the future.I don't think you have thought this one through. Even if the moves were because of the 'tax", that doesn't mean they won't be back if they play well.
If the goal is to stay under the tax line every year, (Which I do not believe) they have never got rid of the better players on the team or stopped from overpaying them. If Thybule and Cam play better than others, the "others" are the ones that will be shipped out to clear salary....not the ones who can help us win.

Didnt Roco do that before coming here? Thought he was even a first team guyNever ?
Just because they swing for the fences doesn't mean they automatically get into the outfield.Other teams swing for the fences. Portland is just happy to get it out of the infield.
You are correct! In 2018.Didnt Roco do that before coming here? Thought he was even a first team guy
Yeah, he did it once, but not twice.Didnt Roco do that before coming here? Thought he was even a first team guy

We haven't had that at all. Thats game changing defense. Ill let it play out before i write him off.
In the regular season Thybulle could have value. But one way players are totally exposed in the playoffs as they can be schemed by a prepared opponent to have a much more negative value. Thybulle is basically the opposite of Kanter and Melo. Makes sense the 6ers have just decided to move on from Thybulle as they are playing to prepare for the playoffs more than squeak out a few regular season wins. The Blazers might not have any playoff aspirations.
Beyond that; defensive specialists are generally much less valuable than offensive specialists. The offense can control how involved those offensive specialists are with the ball so the team can maximize their utilization. However on defense; the defenders team doesn't control who is defending the ball, the opponent can just give the ball to a secondary creator and take the defensive specialist completely out of the play.
Additionally; teams can help cover a defensive players shortcoming with rotations, in a way that teammates can't help each other with a jump shot or scoring opportunity. Coaches can develop defensive schemes.
Thats why you see offensive specialists all over starting lineups in this league, often even on All-NBA teams. But defensive specialists with major holes on offense often get relegated to 3rd string if not just dropped out of the league.

We need Mike Barrett to spin this trade, stat!
"he's put on 15 pounds of muscle since the end of January!"
"he's been in the gym 24/7, working on his jumper"
"Ha Seung Jin is snagglepus"
"Mike Rice was drunk before tipoff"
Dude, I get that your avatar is funny, but it's not very work safe. Someone walks by and sees that, they're not going to be able to take the time to see that it's Tucker the Russian.
We got a 1st round pick and 5 2nd rounders for an expiring and a guy who didn't want to be here. I think that's way better future value than just hanging on to GP II and seeing Hart walk in the offseason.adding very little for the future.
Better at what?GP2 was better. WAY better. Useless pickup IMO. CAN'T SHOOT A LICK...
Better at what?

I think you have me confused with someone else? I never thought you and I had any issues? Oh well, peace and love fellow Blazers fanThis is the only time I'm going to respond to one of your posts. No matter what you quote me in, I'm not responding to you.
I choose not to engage with you.![]()

Ok. No worries. Still, not sure what I said or did, but you do you. Life is far too short to put up with people you don’t likeI don't have you confused with anyone. You've had the same avatar for I don't know how many years. I'm thinking clearly.
