Trade BLAZERS TRADE FOR VIT KREJCI (11 Viewers)

The can waive Ruper to sign one of Cissoko or Love. Convert the other one in the off-season. That is probably the move, if there are no more deals (cough Mikal or Giannis).
Can't wait until the offseason - Sidy/Love will hit the limit this season.

Yeah either a trade or cutting someone else. If Thybulle is going to be injured much longer it might make sense to cut him.

let's see now:

Camara - Belgium
Sharpe - Canada
Avdija - Israel
Cissoko - France
Rupert - France
Hansen - China
Krejci - Czech

maybe Portland needs another UN member....somebody from a country like....I don't know....maybe Greece?

I meant one of them will just ride the G-League for the rest of the season.

Odd move because we are so stacked at PG next season once Dame comes back. Could this make it more likely Jrue is going to NYK or Scoot is in a deal for a star?

Or perhaps we just really want to do whatever we can for the playoff push this year.

I was expecting the opposite trade where we send out a player and then cut whoever we get back. So would seem to me we are more likely to do another trade. Unless yes we've already identified cutting two roster guys such as Rupert and Thybulle.

He's 6'8", so while he might play some PG, he's also plenty capable of just being a wing. Don't think it specifically means anything PG wise. It just means we suck ass at shooting, and he's an elite shooter for cheap.

This team is just about dead last in 3pt shooting so makes a ton of sense to bring in a shooter. Being 25 and on cheap contract also has little downside.

With Jrue coming back weeks ago, Wesley upgraded to questionable, Scoot return coming soon we've gone from 0 PG option to four. Yeah Vit can play SG/SF too. Maybe we view him more in those positions.

Blazers are light on latin American representation.

I'm not really of fan of Cissoko so I'm fine letting him go.

I'm not a big fan of cutting Rupert.

I'd hope we trade RW3 for a pick and another expiring we can then immediately cut.

Minimum salary guys that can be productive in a pinch is exactly what every team needs. Kid is only 21, hustles, and makes very smart plays on the court.

Rupert has the tools but not sure he can put it all together. Still young and hope he pans out.

Matisse will be gone opening up one spot. Ideally would like to see Murray gone. We are very thin at center and would think if we trade RW3, another move is made to add depth.

Going to likely trade Robert for a pick/cash consids and then trade Grant, maybe Matisse, and Rayan or Murray to get another player or two and open a spot. Then convert Love and Sidy.

Could this make it more likely we are holding onto all the Bucks picks? If so then we have 1 extra in 2029 and the extra 2028 from Orlando. The thinking might be we won't need roster spots for 2nd rounders with all those 1st in future seasons.

If we were sending out all the Bucks picks there might be more need to hang onto future 2nd rounders.

Problem with cutting Murray is he has guaranteed money next season. I've always thought we should send him to Sacramento.

We will like send him with Grant somewhere

We can't cut Murray unless we want to eat 5 million next year. He has to be included in a deal and I think he would ve salary filler only. He isn't good. We should have given that pick to Chicago many years ago to clear up our debt.

Surprised Vit is 5th for the Hawks in minutes played this season - already played over a thousand at 1028. Only Blazers to play over a thousand are Deni, Camara, Sharpe, Clingan. So Vit has played more than Grant, Holiday, Sidy, Love, Timelord.

Only Hawks to play more are Dyson D, J Johnson, NAW, Okongwu.

Vit has played more than Luke Kennard, Risacher, Asa Newell, Porzingis, Trae Young.

it probably won't be a thing, but keep in mind that the salaries of both Timelord and Thybulle can fit into a full-MLE. And MLE's can be treated like a trade exception in this new CBA. So a team could take either player without the Blazers having to take a player back. That might clear a roster slot

I guess Atlanta might be gearing up to tank? Would seem they will do a CJ buyout if no trade. This doesn't make any sense from their end if they wanted to make a playoff push.

yeah...I didn't see that Krejci is injured right now. Fits right in
Is he? He just played on Thursday, 27 minutes while starting. But yeah missed yesterdays game.

He missed 4 games at the start of the season in October but has played in every other game this season.

What teams actually have the full MLE still available as well as room under the luxury tax for it? I can't imagine thats even 5 teams.

If teams do have the full MLE but not the luxury tax room I suppose it could be a deal with a 3rd team getting a player.

not many

however, Milwaukee is one of the teams that do

To be clear, to get rid of Murray, you do not have to waive him. It would be in a trade if we do so.

Not sure if this makes Sharpe more likely to be traded. Vit could simply be depth. Could also be that another team is high on Shaedon/Henderson and we make a huge upgrade at another position.

Nice to see that the few people on RealGM's Atlanta forum hate this move for the Hawks.

Vit makes sense: no secret our FO wanted Egor Demin (I half wonder if we took Yang out of spite because Brooklyn took Demin) and he's kind of the Temu Demin

well, from an Atlanta fan POV, they just got hosed

The Blazer who is most likely to be replaced by Vit is probably Rupert. Murray defends PFs. Vit defends nobody.
