Game Thread Blazers Vs Bulls Summer League Playoffs GM1

Jarnell Stokes played pretty well.

His slow feet. It's there. Right now he's just outworking people. The league will present a challenge.

Not to mention he won't be able to challenge vertically around the rim. Taller and more athletic bigs will shoot over him easily.

Great. Now we are 2-2 and stuck in mediocrity. That's the worst place to possibly be. Either be good enough to challenge for the Summer League title, or be bad enough to get a top Summer League pick. Enough. Coach Jim Moran needs to go.

If he would have tanked properly, we could have possibly Summer League drafted Jeffrey Noname, or Phil Scrubb.

Are you kidding? The kids won 1 more playoff game than the adults did and as many as they have won in the last two Playoff series combined. :bgrin:

Layman outside shot still not there but he was aggressive going to the bucket lot better for the kid. Swanigan still a solid outing for got in foul trouble still 13 and 9. Other play good Stokes and Nick Johnson. Cleveland has really quick hands. Toronto tomorrow and think the same time.

Brent Barry is the color guy on 2K17.

He fuckin sucks.
Not gonna lie. My Beaver fandom might influence my opinion on him. I liked him more than Hurd. One of my roommates back in the day was on the team when Hurd played. So i got to see him play a lot. Hurd wasn't my fave. Gave him a chance to call the games. Isn't my favorite announcer either.

I just want a reason to watch the games again. I hate Calabro and Hurd. I miss Mike and Mike. I would take Hurd or Calabro being canned if Brent replaced either one.

I'm impressed with Swnigan's defense, it's not bad at all !
What were those scouting reports all about ?

Look at some of the responses in this thread. People have biases, sometimes even subconsciously. Swanigan impressed me multiple times tonight with his lateral movement defensively.

And he's got plenty of length.

So Biggie was supposed to be the post game interview, and they cut away to the F'n L*kers game, that's already being shown on another channel. I don't give a crap about B*ll. I hope he slips in his own puke tomorrow night....

When: Tonight at 7:00 suckaz!
Where: Viva Las Vegas
Television: ESPN2 or NBATV, not sure which one.

Had to create a thread before one of you jinxes did it and doomed us to another loss.

It's the playoffs, so I guess you could say this is a really big deal. If Biggie wants to win it all he's gotta go hard and not allow his team to lose another game.

No idea about the injury report, someone else can fill in those details.

Well done hahaha!

I wish Cleveland would play more hes intriguing. He would be a good candidate for a two way contract. Too bad blazers don't give a shit about the g league.

Good to see Layman play better. I think if he took the "easier" 3pt shots like the ones Harkless and Aminu take......he will be OK. (All alone with his feet set in the short corners) It's the tougher 3's off the dribble that none of them can make except Dame and CJ where he looks bad.

What I hold out hope on is the fact that if the defender runs out at him, he can pump fake and get to the basket fairly quickly and dunk with authority. I do not agree with those who say he is a poor finisher. But he has to improve his 3ball first. He is a decent defender and rebounder.

Regarding Swanigan, defensively he has a ways to go. I still see him as a center. Just don't think he can guard the perimeter.

Was listening to Farell on the Bench on my drive this evening, and while I couldn't see the game, he and his analyst guest were both raving about Swanigan.

You joke, but how would Taytum look on our team

While I disagree about his lateral movement, his length is not an issue.

And why is it bias if someone sees something different than you?

The only thing I got problems with Swanigan playing center he not rim proctector he good rebounder but he not a guy with whole alot leaping ability he just not that type player. He gets rebounds because he get good position and he box out well. So to me he a power foward now can step in there and play some center sure but his best position will be power foward.
