It just shows you should never give up. Great comeback and win! It also shows how important Paul is to NO. Go Blazers!!!!!

bayless and outlaw completely took over in the 4th and rudy did a lot to help as well.

and for as bad as roy played, i was impressed with him in the 4th. he couldn't get anything to fall so he didn't force anything. just came down and directed the offense to bayless and outlaw and kept the ball moving other than one possession.

Is there any doubt that Bayless should be starting for this team?

Unless you've only seen this game and the NJ game, there's doubt he should play at all.

But he'll get better obviously, and eventually start somewhere at the SG.

Roy needs to watch his back long term, because they are the same player, same position, same assets, same weaknesses.

Great win!

Our players showed they have a million times more guts and determination than all the Eeyore's that post here.

Don't give up! Only down 15! Travis and Brandon are going to explode in the 4th.
I gave up hope, but never turned off the game..b/c you never know what can happen, but I didn't want to get my hopes crushed so I assumed a loss and gladly took anything positive!

Bayless and Travis saved our asses here. Does that mean they should start? No. It means they're excellent insurance for when our star player is sucking. Bayless = Vinnie Johnson, and that's a GOOD thing.

Tell you who should be starting: Rudy. He was actually doing a good job on Chris Paul and because he can score, was forcing Paul to have to play on defense.

(Rudy was also amazing on the boards. Even the sucky N'Awlins announcers noticed that he was everywhere tipping rebounds.)

This game shows how godly Chris Paul is. The Hornets were on the verge of blowing us out, but then Paul gets injured, leaves the game, and we win. Of course I need to applaud our guys for taking advantage of the opportunity to win and having the grit and determination to come back from 20 in about 12 minutes worth of time.

They didn't give up and kept chipping away with the help of Bayless and Outlaw. What a gutsy win. I love these Blazers!

I turned the radio on in the car after work when they were down one. Didn't think it was a big deal until I saw the score after 3 quarters. Amazing win. Huge for the Blazers. Did Paul get hurt?

For everyone who is trashing Roy, you have to keep in mind that if he isn't on the floor, the defense can focus elsewhere. He is still a threat and the Hornets still have to respect him. Without Roy, we might not have seen Bayless or Outlaw do so well.

The bnech has 52.

How do you prepare for Travis Outlaw? He is a loose cannon (in a good way). Normally you want to kill the clock but he can basically become unstoppable at a moment's notice.

It's true. And for all the frustration that he can cause, I have decided that I LIKE having that kind of energy on the team. Wisely managed, I think it is a huge asset. If he is happy in his role as "backup energy dude", I'm glad we have him!

Just goes to show you how valuable CP really is. Regardless, great win for Portland. We might just get to 40 wins before we get 20 losses; I know it's tough, but our schedule gets easier again soon.

Good point.

4th best in the West, yo!!

you really are a joke. you are continuously proven wrong by the play on the court but keep spouting the same bullshit anyway.

Just gotta say reading the progression of this thread was hilarious.

For all you guys that are up and down band wagon fans and who BITCH on here all the time............. you are all a bunch of punk ass bitches! Quit following the team, they don't need you!

Wow. Just wow.

I'd also like to add that the Thrilla played lights out defense on West in the 4th quarter.

Last year it took 28 losses to get 30 wins. Nice pace going for this team.

you get any hand grenades to go with your huge ass beers to go? i love hand grenades.

Wow, I missed the comeback because I had business to take care of, but reading the roller coaster ride on this thread was amazing.

This could be the greatest win of the season and I fucking missed it. Fuck me.

Wow, 8 rebounds for Rudy. I love this guy. Even if he's not getting shot or getting shots to fall, he will do the little things. He hustles and moves around on the offensive and defensive ends. He overplay on the defensive end sometimes (fouling or playing the passing lanes), but he puts in the effort.

Rudy still is a bit risky, that pass almost gave me a heart attack in the 4th (where was it going, 2 NO defenders around) and he stood around a few times on rebounds.

hornets announcers killed roy like ive never heard.....

"theres your allstar folks"

what scumbags....

heres my question

"how long is paul gonna be out asshole"

I'd also like to mention I do not feel bad at all for beating them without Paul in the 4th, because hey beat us without Roy for a whole game earlier.

Take that Byron Scott! I'm so glad Joel was instrumental in shutting down West in the 4th quarter and helping the Blazers get the win. Byron Scott called Joel one of the dirtiest players in the league - after Tyson Candler deliberately chopped Joel's injured wrist the last time these teams met. And, he reiterated that opinion before this game. It's simply not true and makes Scott look like a fool. With Paul out, West was their one and only offensive option and Joel totally shut him down. Props to Joel. It doesn't show up in the box score, but he was a difference maker tonight.

I actually went back and read what I wrote, to make sure I didn't say anything bad. Woo! I was pretty good tonight. :)

you really are a joke. you are continuously proven wrong by the play on the court but keep spouting the same bullshit anyway.

And you follow me from board to board, despite not even being a blazers fan, and attack and insult posters everywhere you go.

Pathetic.
