Their play tonight is prob more indicative of what we will see early on in the season.

I'm happy, it's just against the Suns, who have Frye playing center.

Just think of the game Oden could have had, had they fed him the ball.

Also, I love that people are complaining about Oden's touches when our two big contracts Roy and LMA are 7-10 & 8-15 respectively. It's not like the starting unit isn't efficient tonight.

Oh my god Maris61 was right! Sergio with 11 assists and three steals!

Overall, definitely. Everyone looks ready to go.
Can't expect this kind of rebounding every night though, considering the Blazers were middle of the pack in total rebounds last year, while being almost last in defensive rebounds.
Can't play the Suns every night.
I agree I think Oden was looking to facilitate plays not look for his own shot. I'm not suggesting Oden was quarterbacking but rather that he was looking to pass out of the post to rotate the ball. I would have liked to see Oden be a bit more aggressive. For that matter I would have liked to see Oden...at all! Fuck you Comcast! My, my that is therapeutic.I agree. I loved how the starting five played, I'm all for that five to start in the regular season. And Oden did get touches and was involved. Listening to the game I never felt he was being left out. When he left the game in the 3rd he had the 3rd most shot atempts in the starting 5 and the most freethrow attempts. That seems about what I'd expect since Roy and Aldridge are clearly options 1 & 2 on offense.
Outlaw leads the bench in scoring and rebounding. Blake & Oden earn the starting spots. Oden's 2 for 7 shooting didn't earn him the reward of more shots but he made his free throws, grabbed rebounds, and blocked shots. I'm perfectly happy with Oden getting 10/9/2 this season.

Why does Blake earn the spot based on one game? Miller has outplayed Blake the whole pre-season for the most part.
news flash... Portland led the entire league in offensive boards and rebounding differential last season38 to 16 in rebounding, and 12 offensive rebounds.
This doesn't happen against the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers.

STOMP
This maybe unpopular. Whether it's good for the lineup or not. But I would almost start Miller for the purpose of making sure Oden saw his fair share of feeds.
Technically I said total rebounding![]()

Miller has very few assists to Oden this preseason. Actually, he had very few assists period, at least compared to shot attempts.
That's not the point Pops.
He looks for him.

Trade TO when his value his high.
How so?
He looks for him in the post. So doe Juwan Howard. Why do you think Roy was frustrated ealrier on in the preseaon? Instead of looking for him, Millers focus was Oden in the post.
