Shit was pretty happening downtown around 330pm. Cops everywhere, and protesters blocking the max.

Look, I'm tired of race not being mentioned in suspect descriptions. I need to know the race of my favorite person ever born on Earth. It's this guy...

It should be federal law that to get a food service permit you must have ketchup and ranch dressing in your restaurant at all times. I don't care if your chef doesn't like it. I'd include mustard for people who like that shit just to be fair.

If they could like... not come downtown, that would be super. I just want to get out of here after work and go back to my white privilege home in my white privilege neighborhood, with my white privilege wife and my white privilege dog. Maybe hop on my white privilege computer and play some white privilege video games. Eat some leftover white privilege pizza.

hold on, you got married?

Fun story: I was in the Ross at Lloyd Center when we all heard the chants of this. Never saw them, but we could hear them very clearly.

Yeah, this is a great opportunity for white people to bash a bunch of white hippies. Later on they can say "I wanted them all killed too"

Sounds like the demonstration fell apart when the micro brew pubs happy hour started.

LOL. Well that and it probably got to cold outside for them considering they were probably wearing their girlfriends jeans.

"Comply or die"? LOL.

I do commend them though for actually protesting at City Hall where IMO it is most effective as the Police don't make the laws that enable them to use deadly/physical force.

So grats on them for that.

Whoooooooosh....

That's the sound of that going right over your head.

Our country has gone through many changes. Some of those changes are moving in two opposite directions. We now live under contradictory laws and regulations. As a result, today, we are nation in turmoil.

Example.
The range of punishment parents can administer to their children is far less than it was 50 years ago. Strike a child that is misbehaving, and you are charged with child abuse.

The range of punishment teachers can administer to their students is also far less than it was 50 years ago. Strike a student and loose your job, at the least.

Parents and teachers know their children and students far better than any LEO. They spend a lot of time getting to know them, and their issues. However, the LEO has far more power to administer punishment, even lethal punishment, based on only a few seconds of watching a person’s behavior.

We can find many more contradictions in the laws.
Refuse to stop and identify yourself to a police officer and you will end up in handcuffs, or worse, dead. If someone is trespassing on your property, you do not have the right to handcuff or shoot them if they ignore your demands to stop and identify them selves.

LEO’s often claim self defense when they shoot someone. The rule of self defense for individuals has also changed over the years. Use too much force to defend your self or your family, and you get charged with using excessive force.

The range of discipline parents and teachers are allowed to use has decreased. The range of discipline LEO’s are using has increased.

In addition, the right to protect ones own property has decreased significantly over the 50 years. The power of the police have increased. Yet the LEO's level of service to protect our property has declined. If you have a break in or theft on your property, the police will send out a form to fill out, and tell you to work with your insurance co. They have little interest in finding the thieves.

I do not see this problem as a race issue. This problem affects every one of us. It is time to correct the contradictions in our laws and regulations. We are all supposed to be equal. Not some more equal than others if they wear a badge. That idea is not working.
