trade Kidd and VC, go itno the lottery. Draft Beasly or Deandre jordan. Hope lakers suck, use there lotto pick to draft a guard like Budinger, Bayless. Hope Krstic recovers, sign him cheap.

marcus, Wright, RJ, Sean, Krstic, Deandre/beasly.

wont win much but a nice base unit

Deandre Jordan, that would be disastrous. Beasley would be a much better option and no question of who to take out of those 2.

Okafor isn't a backup, but his back concerns me greatly, wouldn't want to take that chance.

Rebuild this team with Marcus Williams, Antoine Wright, Sean Williams.

There's the doomsday scenario, I'd slit my wrists if this happened, not sure before or after the team went about 4-78.

re: Okafur: I saw it within the last two weeks, and I may have gotten there from a linkinside a link. Maybe something I saw on hoopshype? It doesn't matter.

re: the above: something I've thought about recently. The Nets are and have been filled with players like Antoine Wright, Josh Boone, Jason Collins, Jacque Vaughn, Brian Scalabrine, etc. Rod Thorn is just enamored with these intangible-first, glue-type players that aren't offensive threats, but go to the right spot all the time and don't screw up. YOU CAN'T WIN WITH JUST THESE TYPES OF PLAYERS! If your entire supporting cast is made up with these good-soldier ancillary players the team will never accomplish anything. He just goes overboard. Sean Williams has potential to overcome this, though, and Marcus is completely different.

Wright's one of my two favorite players, but if he starts, the team is doomed unless he replaces Collins as the designated shlub.
