But like I said, I am not invested in the Russia, Russia, Russia conspiracy theory.

Here's what the article says. Please point me to the part that I should get outraged about.

Fusion GPS’s work researching Trump began during the Republican presidential primaries, when the GOP donor paid for the firm to investigate the real estate magnate’s background.

Fusion GPS did not start off looking at Trump’s Russia ties but quickly realized that those relationships were extensive, according to the people familiar with the matter.

When the Republican donor stopped paying for the research, Elias, acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, agreed to pay for the work to continue. The Democrats paid for research, including by Fusion GPS, because of concerns that little was known about Trump and his business interests, according to the people familiar with the matter.

Those people said that it is standard practice for political campaigns to use law firms to hire outside researchers to ensure their work is protected by attorney-client and work-product privileges.

The Clinton campaign paid Perkins Coie $5.6 million in legal fees from June 2015 to December 2016, according to campaign finance records, and the DNC paid the firm $3.6 million in “legal and compliance consulting’’ since November 2015 — though it’s impossible to tell from the filings how much of that work was for other legal matters and how much of it related to Fusion GPS.

At no point, the people said, did the Clinton campaign or the DNC direct Steele’s activities. They described him as a Fusion GPS subcontractor.
 
It doesn’t matter who Fusion GPS hired. They were hired by Clinton/DNC and they colluded with the Russians.

Harry Reid made “outrageous” claims toward the end of the election that the FBI was sitting on explosive information (e.g. the dossier) about Trump. The DNC, Democrats, and Hillary herself weaponized it.

Nothing in that article supports that assertion. And you still haven't said who "The Russians" are.
 
I do find the irony amusing.

The Russia, Russia, Russia drumbeat and when it came down to investigating it, there’s only proof the DNC and Hillary colluded with the Russians to affect the campaign.

I say no such thing.

You asked who the Russians were, I gave you an example. It’s been widely known (or reported) Steele colluded with the Russians (with ties to Putin). Even as long ago as March 30.

The big news is that the collusion ended up being with the DNC and Clinton campaign. Between them, they paid $millions.
 
So let's see. Trumpers are saying:
1. That whole Pee Tape thing is a FILTHY LIE. Anyone who believes that stupid dossier thing is crazy! They obviously made it up!

and

2. The dossier containing the Pee Tape was a product of COLLUSION AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS! THE RUSSIANS WERE ATTACKING DONALD TRUMP with that obviously false tissue of lies that nobody would fall for.

Face to face meeting, pay cash or some other benefit in exchange for cooperation or some other benefit.

The two sides, DNC/Clinton and Russians tied to Putin colluded to provide and release information damaging to Trump (and thus his campaign). Attempting to influence the election.
 
I give in. This is TERRIBLE, DAMNING evidence of massive collusion between Hilliar and the Russkies. Thank God the liberal-controlled media will suppress it and nobody will ever find out.

There’s another shoe to drop. The Russians in bed with Clinton and her foundation, got to buy a company that controls a lot of the Uranium in the US (and elsewhere).

Looks like pay to play. At the very least an emolument (though that doesn’t necessarily apply to the Secy of State).

And that’s the kind of thing we cannot stand from our government officials.

It could if this ties back to Hillary when she was a U.S. Senator.
 
I’ll offer a wee conspiracy theory.

Hillary should have kept her mouth shut. She’s as egotistical as you say Trump is. Seriously, look at all the excuses she’s been making.

If she kept her mouth shut, she probably wouldn’t have been investigated at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a #neverHillary faction of the democrats who aren’t losing sleep over this.
 
Fusion GPS officers pleaded the 5th in front of congressional committee. They're now fighting subpoenas for their banking records.

Washington (CNN) -- Fusion GPS, the intelligence firm behind the controversial Trump dossier, asked a federal court on Friday to stop its bank from turning over financial records subpoenaed by the House intelligence committee.

In its filing, the firm asserted that the subpoena exceeds the committee's legal authority and said the release of the records would reveal the names of its clients and therefore violate its and their First Amendment rights to free speech and free association.

The intelligence committee has subpoenaed the bank information as part of its investigation into Russia's attempts to influence last year's election, including allegations in the dossier of collusion by Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
