It actually would make a TON of sense for both NY and Utah.
NY rents Boozer for one year, replacing (or even upgrading) Lee without sacrificing their 2010 space (plus they will have his Bird rights, if nothing else pans out in FA).
It could make sense for Utah for three reasons:
1. If Lee is signed for less than Millsap (or to a bigger, but less 'toxic' deal).
2. If they prefer Lee to Millsap.
3. If they are convinced they couldn't dump Boozer without giving up more assets (e.g. NY pick).
It could also make sense for Utah if they thought Milsap wasn't really happy living in SLC, and therefore might not keep giving 100%.
