I loved how athletic he was. Every time on D he would go track out to the three point line and then get back to his guy. That man can move.

His numbers also weren't too shabby, 8 points on 3 of 5, 2 of 2 from the stripe, 8 boards, a steal and a block. But man, his energy is awesome.

Leonard is pure energy. Still in the lanky puppy stage, but he's going to be really good.

Most of the time with rooks, all you really want to see are glimpses of greatness, and today I saw a ton of it. He will take a while to develop, but if he continues to work this hard, he will end up a beast.

I love his energy, even if it's misguided sometimes. That alley oop he had was sick though.

Once he learns the NBA game and things like the pick & roll, he'll be fine. Oh, was Matthews mad at him. Twice they had a pick & roll and Leonard wasn't even looking for the ball on his way spinning to the basket. The ball just went right by him. The second time Matthews stomped back to the bench and refused to speak to him.

That's cause that TO got Matthews pulled. I can imagine he'd be mad.

That was bad by Mathews, it was obvious Lenoard was looking at the basket as he was running towards it.

It was obvious Leonard had some simple marching orders when he got out on the court: box out, don't be a hero, we're not running plays for you.

Then, he hits that jumper and suddenly Matthews wants to run plays for him. That's on Matthews. Leonard's just a Private Pyle in the army right now. He's not ready for that yet. And to his credit (imho) he wasn't looking for it. He was just running to box out. He'll learn.

Mathews just tries to hard on O. He really needs to defend take open shots and slash when he needs to. He has a lot of trouble attacking to create an dhe does it a few times a game and it never seems to work.

Tonight's EFF = 16.0. Best game of his young career. He's still very, very raw, but already showing improvement. He will be inconsistent, but will only get better with more playing time. I LOVED seeing him in during the 4th quarter and OT tonight. That vote of confidence from his coach, and the valuable experience with the game on the line, will only accelerate his development. Good job Stotts, great job Meyers!

True, but he does seem to be improving, and perhaps one day he will be able to do it all. It's not like he slouches on his other duties, so as long as he pushes himself on D, let him screw up on O. When the Blazers are good next season, it could prove to be a benefit.

Nobody guards him on the perimeter, if he's a good shooter, they should start designing some plays for him. One more thing for the defense to defend.

I know he's capable of hitting the shots, but the last thing I want to see right now is our other big man on the perimeter shooting J's.
