You're not suppose to die before your parents. I couldn't imagine losing one of my children.
I can imagine too well.....I raised my only (14 yr younger) brother, like my own son. Prior to, and especially after Our parents got divorced. Daniel was barely 8 yrs old, when he came to live with us for good. More than a brother, a Son too, more than anything, my best friend, and confidante.
Heart breaks like the loss of Dan'l, one simply never gets over. Freak accidents especially, those never expected, are the losses that usually hit us the hardest, and one never fully recovers. A heart is broken for life, in such instances, and its all one can do to put back a few of the pieces, while many seem to go missing.....!
