By the way, for any taker, a "quality start" is generally regarded by "the baseball world" as a SP going 6 IP and allowing 3 runs.

This requires using the bullpen to get 9 outs without allowing another run.....
......otherwise you would be better served if your SP went 7 IP and allowed 4 runs and needed just SIX outs from your bullpen instead of NINE.


I know this could be a bit too deep for some "fans" who don't grasp the concept of thinking like a MGR considering the long haul of a full season.


That's all, I think I finished this off with my last three posts of this thread.
