Great, Portland Trail Blazer games were bet on.
 
Even though Billups got an extension, most likely this would violate the morals clause if found guilty, and the Blazers would not be required to pay him.

Chauncey is the last of the Neil Olshey hirings but Neil seems more like a guy with mob ties!

Almost sounds like Chauncey was a pawn. Like he was paid to be a big name attending these games as a draw to other players.
 
Chauncey is stupped. He was the face for rigged poker games involving the Gambino, Bonnano and Genovese crime families.
 
No way Chauncey was a pawn. He was in on the cheating and he's done. Going to prison for some time.

Time to move on - he should be fired by 10 am and we'll see who they name as interim - I'm hoping it's Splitter.
 
At least it sounds like this occurred before Billups was the coach of the Blazers.
 
If there was any knowledge or rumors of this heard by Cronin before Chauncey's contract was extended, he needs to be fired too.
 
Looks like they have a slam dunk case against Chauncey. He'll never coach again in the league. Time to shop for the next coach.
 
They say they have them on money laundering as well as being facecard players in a poker hustle. Makes me seriously question Chauncey's endgame coaching ...was he coaching the spread and gambling under the table? We'll probably never know.
 
This kinda has the feeling of how drugs and gambling almost ruined the NBA in the 70's and early 80's

They just said the NBA cooperated with the investigation. Chauncey is double-stupped.
 
1. The DOJ doesn't really care about Chauncey. They care about getting the mafia. They will offer Chauncey a deal to testify against them. If he takes a deal, "I bet" he'll only serve about a year in prison.

2. If Chaucney pleads guilty or is found to be guilty, it means he used his fame as an NBA player to cheat people. He should be removed from the HOF.
