And the odds makers should factor that into their models.
They do, but there’s no way to account for DNP outside of existing injuries. The incident in question involves billups knowing players would be resting before that information was released, and relaying that information to bettors before the sports books could account for it. That’s why the FBI is referring to it as the “insider trading” of sports betting.

I hope for him and his family that he is proven right and exonerated. He sure seems very relatable in interviews, but as we know, that means very little.

This is so true. Most men of integrity pick up women, get head from them in a car, run a train on them and get named in a rape case. Then settle with the victim. Oh, all while being in a relationship. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING screams integrity like that.
Great. Now I have to buy a new needle for my sarcasm detector. Thanks, MM...

I don't remember them saying he had "ran a train" on her, and not saying that he didn't make a really dumb decision there, BUT 1 isolated incident (if he didn't do this I mean) does not negate a lifetime of good choices.

I have friends that, in their early 20's, did really REALLY stupid things. Doesn't mean now in their late 40's and early 50's, that they haven't lived a life of integrity. Lord knows I'd hate it if you were to use some of the stupid things I did as a 20 something as proof I'm not a person who lives with integrity.

Again, not saying he's 100% innocent, just I don't necessarily believe the story as it's told. It seems too convenient.
I don't get the "seems too convenient" take. Convenient for who?

“Chicago is favored by 2.5 points in the latest Trail Blazers vs. Bulls odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over/under is set at 226.5.”

Blazers rested Dame, Grant, Nurkic, and Simons and lost 124-96

If it were known that those 4 would not play, Chicago would have been favored by much more than 2.5 points.
Now I'd like to see who bet large $$ on Chicago to cover.

I meant in the sense of the contacts, glasses, X-ray machines, ear pieces, etc.

It all fits too easily to me.

It also wouldn't surprise me if this was, no pun intended, trumped up charged instigated by the current administration as a weird revenge.

The old saying that things just don't add up seems appropriate here.

The X-ray machine under the tables, special contact lenses and regular glasses that can see special markings... So then you also have that podcaster guy that said this so who knows?

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was about revenge, I bet Trumps just waiting for the right time get involved.

I just hope the NBA is ready because if there’s one thing Don is good at it’s manipulation.

I don’t think so. I’m sure Trump will try to take credit for it, but the investigation was mostly done during Biden’s time in office.

My favorite part of all this are the people thinking Trump orchestrated all this to "Attack Portland" when the FBI has been investigating this for years. Not sure what is so convenient about the ways people cheat in poker, there are a bunch of tactics used and I never put anything past anyone when it comes to taking $ off someone else.

His handprint is all over it. Hes not going to be exonerated. He will plea.

I have a feeling you are right, but if it is not, I hope for him and specifically his family - that he can overcome it. The family for sure did not deserve it.

thats what so infuriating when people get caught up like this.

Especially ones that really had no reason for such a comparatively small payday in relation to their salaries.
