They will be fine after swallowing a big helping of pride
They can join the newly expanded MWC with Boise
Baylor can join SMU, UTEP, Houston, and Rice (like they should have in the first place)

Ya, cause that's the same.

Kansas goes from a BCS conference, where they play Texas, Oklahoma, OSU, Tam, Mizz and others in basketball to playing no one. Plus, the Mountain West commish voted against expanding.

what is with this shitting on Oregon and Oregon state? the Arizona schools have much worse football programs. Cal, UCLA, and Stanford aren't exactly better. And do you really think UW has a better football program than the Oregon schools? WTF?!

I agree WN, wtf, oregon and oregon state have finished in the top 3 like 3 years in a row

Now if the conference could get the schools that matter, it would be great.

@Jake_Trotter OSU booster Boone Pickens: "We're in" -- if Big 12 exodus to Pac-10 happens. “It cost us, but we’re in.” Credits facility upgrade foresight.

he voted not to expand yet (until he sees what shakes down) as a smart Commish should

For those of you that don't know, Boone Pickens is the Phil Knight of OSU. In fact he dwarfs Knight in his donations....I think

Pickens has donated almost 200 mil to OKState... the only reason that school is relevent, not only athletically.

We arn't talking about football record or football program peformance, we're talking about desirability to be included in a conference. OSU having had two straight years playing for a Rose Bowl berth means almost nothing when your talking about conference alignment be driven by TV revenue. The Corvallis and Oregon TV markets are so tiny compared to any of the California schools, Texas, UW, etc etc.

I feel extremely lucky for my Beavs that we are already in this superconference, the only luckier school is WSU.

Agree. Denver (Colorado) is also a bigger market than Portland (Ducks/Beavs).

My boy Frank Noblo from The Golf Channel is from NZ and said people fuck sheep there! He also said Oregon made him feel like he was back home, said the 2 places are very similar!(I told him we have no sheep here!)

He's 100% correct. NZ so similar to Oregon, it's eerie. When I landed in Auckland, I said to myself, "I just traveled 7,000 miles to come home."

They're confirming here in CO that CU will be joining the Pac-10. The announcement is supposed to come Monday.

So one thing I've been thinking about is how they are going to schedule non-division games. It sounds like there will be two 8 team divisions. If you play every team in your dvision you would have 7 divisional games a year. There might be a conference championship game. Can you also have three games against the other division? That ends up being a lot of games to play each season, 10 conference games or 11 if you make the championship game. But if you only have two out of division games your talking about playing a team once every 4 years that is in your conference? So we would host a conference team only once every eight years? Hardly seems like a conference if a team only comes into town once a decade.

One idea I had was basically scheduling the conference as if there were 4 divisions:
NW (UW, WSU, O, OS)
Cali (Stanford, Cal, USC, UCLA)
Texas (UT, TT, A&M, Colorado)
Others(AZ, ASU, Okla, OK ST)
You would play the three teams in your division every year. You would play half the other 12 teams every year which would be 6 more games. So every year you have 9 conference games, and you would not go longer than one season without playing a conference opponent. Sure we would only be able to play USC every other year, but we would get to play Texas every other year instead of possibly only once every 4 years.

Kansas City TV is spreading crazy ass rumors that OU goes to SEC, OKST pac 10 and texas and a & m to Big 10?

WTF

Thank YOU CHIP BROWN

ChipBrownOB There's a Kansas City TV report saying Texas and A&M to the Big Ten. That would be news to those schools.
