exactly. Personally, I don't want to pay my money to watch a women's league, a Jewish league, or a league for people wih Tourettes. Well, I might buy an occasional ticket just for laughs, but overall I am interested in watching the best of the best.

But I have no issue with people with Tourettes starting a league. Otherwise known as a league for Fucking your mama's moisturless **** cave. Actually, if they were miced, I might just get season tickets, the trash talk would be wonderful.

Or, say, wheel chairs

Seriously though, I would pay money to see a big beefy chick lay someone like Kobe out, just to see him cry to the refs.

I would like a Lingerie NBA league played on a mud or Jello court, and fans would have to blow at least .1 on a breathalyzer to get in the arena.

Listen dude, if you want to see Blake Griffin in lingerie that's your thing, but no amount of booze is going to get me into that arena :devilwink:

One of many flaws in my theory. I also failed to consider the difficulty of dribbling on mud or Jello.

The two leagues are different with different goals. NBA wants to be the premier league in the world and show the highest level basketball players. The goal is not to be male, it's just that men naturally have more gifted physical attributes , so only men have played in the past. But, if a woman demonstrated that she played basketball at the highest level, fitting of the NBA, then there is no reason why she should not play.

But, the WNBA is specifically a league for women. It's women at the highest level. There is no room in the NBA for almost any woman, so they have a league of their own so they can also compete. No issue with that. The goal is a place for women to compete. So a man should not be permitted in.

I do realize there is a double standard, but I'm fine with that. Not everything should be equal all the time. There should be balance. Things that can be made equal should be equal, but things that can't, we shouldn't force them to be equal.

What would your thoughts be if the NBA came out and officially made it a "men only" league?

It would bother me. With my money, I choose to support certain things, and I don't think I would support it. But, I would not say that they shouldn't have the right to do so. I just think it would hurt their bottom line.

I don't know if they would legally have the right, I am just expressing my personal view.

I guess when you admit to being hypocritical, I can't really argue with you.

That Panatierre chick is with the boxer Klitschko who is like 6'8"

When people hare poke fun of someone who has done something stupid, mean, dorky or just weird, that's fine, but Brittney is getting poked fun at not for having done anything, but only because of how she looks. And what's here is very mild compared to comments elsewhere. Fuk that. This is one awesome woman who has racked up over 500 blocked shots, along with a shit load of other stats. How about some posts regarding her accomplishments instead of just laughing at her looks.

When she gets cut in preseason, hopefully she'll try out for one of the Euro leagues. Otherwise we pretty much know it's nothing more than a publicity stunt, right?

(Has this actually been confirmed, beyond being an April 1st post? I haven't looked to see if there's a verified source.)

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban would be willing to give Baylor women's star Brittney Griner the opportunity to prove she could play in the NBA.

Cuban said he would consider selecting Griner, a 6-foot-8 three-time All-American and Big 12 player of the year, in the second round of the NBA draft. If the Mavs don't draft her, Cuban said he would have "no problem whatsoever" inviting Griner to try out for a spot on Dallas' summer league team.
