My first real post but I feel it is important so here goes. BROY needs some credit for his play since Oden went out, even if he couldn't adjust his play before hand. He is carrying this team right now and the blazers are doing better than most of us think.
I will post a statistical analysis detailing the of the top teams in the west when I can access my work computer next but here is something to think about in the mean time:
(top teams = lakers, dallas, San Antonio, phoenix, portland, utah, denver, NO, OKC, Houston, boston, cleavland, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami)
Denver: 19-9
VS top teams: 8-3
Home vs top teams: 6-0
Away vs top teams: 2-3
Home vs non top teams: 6-1
Away vs non top teams: 5-5
games vs top teams still to play: 33
games vs top teams at home: 16
games vs top teams away: 17
Portland: 17-12
VS top teams: 7-8
Home vs top teams: 4-3
Away vs top teams: 3-5
Home vs non top teams: 6-1
Away vs non top teams: 4-3
games vs top teams still to play: 27
games vs top teams at home: 14
games vs top teams away: 13
Given the blazers have 6 less games than denver against the other top 14 teams and portland is only 2 1/2 games back, are we that far off of our goal???
Either way, I say despite his slowness to adjust to new offensive weapons on the team (some of which are hurt now), broy deserves some appreciation for keeping us in the hunt.
