I'll answer for HCP. At team that has 25 losses and has 6 games left can be passed by a team with 28 losses and 4 games left.

Not exactly advanced calculus...

Root For: Trail Blazers
Reason: Need to stay in 5th

Memphis vs. Miami
Root For: Heat
Reason: Either a Trail Blazers win or Grizzlies loss make it impossible for Memphis to jump Portland in the standings.

Phoenix @ New Orleans
Root For: Pelicans
Reason: Portland is close to ensuring Phoenix can not jump them in the standings. If the Suns lose and the Blazers win tonight, that scenario will happen.

Houston @ Denver
Root For: Nuggets

I know you're joking, but I hate the tonya Harding style of jokes. If we can beat a healthy rockets team we can beat anybody. I love the game first, and the blazers second. I hate seeing any injuries dampening the competition. Kevin garnett is my least favorite player but I still hope he is healthy in the playoffs. I despise Kobe, but hate seeing him struggle with these injuries.

In other news Kenny 'the jet' Smith picked the Blazers as his under the radar team who is overlooked and could be a surprise this post season.

Rockets are a dirty team, so they get what they deserve.
 
WTF happened to GS? They were killing DEN when I was going to bed and was remarking about that's how good teams take care of crappy ones. It would be absolutely crazy if they miss the playoffs. There were some who thought they could come out of the west

I said this would happen back before the season started. They made a pretty big change to their roster from last season, and they had quite a few injuries. They're a good team, but they have a lot of injury prone guys, like Bogut and Lee.

Houston has four games left. We have three. Gonna be interesting.
 
If GS loses and POR and HOU win, I think that means we will be locked into the 5th seed. Hoping for this scenario so that we can rest our starters for all of next week.

It's worth the push to try to get HCA. I wouldn't rest the guys unless we know we can't get home court.
 
I doubt Stotts really "rests" anyone regardless.
 
I feel like more and more it seems like teams that have multiple days in between games always seem to look rusty when they come back. I would hate to us come out of the gate in the playoffs like that.

Agreed, but HOU winning tonight would close that window shut for us, regardless of what we do the rest of the way.

I don't think it's going to be that interesting. If I calculate it right,even if Blazers go 3-0, Houston has to go 1-3 vs Minny, NO(X2), SA.

I do like that the likely match up will be Houston v. Blazers in round 1. Bring it on!

I say don't rest them because 5th isn't exactly lock up yet. Warriors have an easy schedule the rest of the way (besides us) and have the tie break.
