Bulls want Bayless

Of course they do. Bulls are getting the best player in the deal, and they want more?

Fuck off, Paxson.

I'm not a huge Bayless fan - I don't think he's a PG. But the Bulls can go fuck themselves with that one.

hmmm... I don't think I would want to give up on him for Hinrich.

So that would leave us with Blake and Kirk for PG? I like that. But I like Kirk\Bayless better!

Fuck that. They can go fuck themselves.

If the Bulls want Bayless, we're going to have to get back a hell of a lot more than Kirk Hinrich!

A Bayless-Rose backcourt would be nasty. Don't do it KP! C'mon bitchy Utah... just take Tim Thomas rather than Tyrus.

I love how the general reaction is "fuck off, Chicago."

Maybe people will understand that the reason deals aren't getting done is because KP can't find a good one.

Give up Bayless? Yeah right.

Other teams seem to find deals that work OK.

Giving up Bayless and our cap space for Hinrich would be outrageous and I'd be upset over it. Hopefully KP does not even consider it.

Orlando was able to get Vince for scraps and expirings.

Orlando signed Bass for a cheap contract.

Spurs got RJ for expirings.

Don't tell me we couldn't have gotten any of those.

These are the best reactions ever.

Orlando gave up Courtney Lee and Alston.

Bass is no big deal.

The Blazers looked at RJ at the trade deadline. Obviously something they didn't like in that deal.

You can view it as getting Carter for scraps. But Orlando was pretty high on Courtney Lee, in a similar fashion to us with Batum. And many in here would not view trading Batum for Carter as just giving up scraps to get him. So that's not the case. Sure, we can get in on that, by giving up Batum. Similar in this deal, giving up Bayless.

Just like New Jersey was pretty high on Ryan Anderson, and he ended up in the trade with Vince Carter.

I hope Chicago enjoys paying a backup PG in this economy $9.5MM.

And our fan base thinks WE overvalue our players? This is the same kind of thinking that led Chicago to pass on Gasol, O'Neal, etc. because they had to give up Deng.

Fuck them and their trades built by the Swerski Brothers.

I don't see much that Chicago has that they might part with that we want.

Deng is a big question mark. Hinrich is good - for cap space, or even Outlaw or Blake. But no more.

I am not a Bayless fan, but if we trade him, it would have to get something better. I'd be down for a Bayless+ for Sessions in a heartbeat. I want a *real* PG. Hinrich last year wasn't a top-20 PG.

I really, really hope KP has some way to close a deal for substantial SF or PG talent. Failing that, getting Millsap and then trading Joel for a Battier or good PG would be OK, too.

Obviously Portland has got Utah to agree to explore three-way deals, which is why the offer has not been made to Millsap. We just need a team that wants Boozer... the list is not too long.

Those are good deals, I agree. Of course, while I don't think Lee is the caliber of prospect as Batum, if New Jersey valued him that highly then Portland couldn't have acquired Carter without giving up Batum. I wouldn't have been in favour of that. Had they accepted Outlaw in place of Lee, then I'd have liked that deal.

Spurs got RJ for expirings.

Unenthused. He's terribly mediocre and paid enormous money. And, unlike Hinrich or Turkoglu, doesn't even address any particular need. He's simply mediocre at everything with no stand-out skill except taking shots (his scoring efficiency is mediocre). At worst, Batum will be mediocre at everything production-related (like he was last season) but be a very good defender.

Look, we're losing our cap space, Bayless, and likely another player (Blake, Outlaw, or Webster) in this scenario. We need to receive back Kirk Hinrich and one of the following ....

- Deng
- Salmons
- Noah

And again, even if Tim Thomas is sent to Utah instead, I'm pretty angry at the thought of moving Steve Blake and our cap space for Kirk Hinrich. You're essentially moving Boozer and Blake for Hinrich. Are you fucking kidding me?

Absolutely not, and I am a fan a=of addig Hinrich and Deng.

For me, our untouchables in order are

Aldridge
Roy
Oden
Batum
Bayless

Nobody else matters.

YOu guys aren't gonna play bayless anyway. You can't always have your cake and eat it too ;) if you wanna win with hinrich, i say suck it up and do the deal. It really isn't that unfair. The bulls could just leave the blazers out of this and get boozer by themselves more than likley.

This is bullshit just like the other Chicago rumor was bullshit. I read that several reporters think Portland is just bombarding the rumor mill in order to get the attention off of the failure to bring in talent. Keep on believing if you want, but I am not going to waste my time on any of these. Nothing was going to happen. Nothing is going to happen. We are going into the season with what we got, you might as well get used to it.

Er...what do you think the Jazz want more, whoever they get back in a trade for Boozer or our cap space which lowers their luxury tax payment?
