It's a good thing. I blame him in a good way. Granted he only just now finally got around to it because mid-terms are coming up... but, it's a start.

I mean he is 'only' the President.</div>I'm sorry, but are you seriously suggesting that he is an idiot because he signed a bill that hundreds of people in congress approved? Or is he an idiot for not requesting to add hundreds of miles to a fence that is already underfunded? Please, enlighten me.

I simply pointed out that the man is the president and with that title comes some responsibility. He did sign a bill for a fence that covers less than half of the border, and only did it now because it's a wedge issue during an election year.

There's a difference between blaming Iraq on Bush or blaming the economy on Bush and calling someone stupid for going along with HUNDREDS of people on an issue. If someone had made a comment about the Republican party, it would have at least been sensible to some extent. It's not an election year for him, but it is for the hundreds of people that voted on the bill. You see how logical thoughts can be connected to form sensible points in a debate?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mexicans get such discrimination... it's like blacks back then.</div>This isn't about race. its about money. Illegal immigrants work but don't pay taxes. if every illegal in this country paid taxes the government wouldn't care nearly as much. All Bush did was sign the bill which allows for the building of the fence. Congress actually made the law. Bush could have vetoed the bill, but it likely would have re-passed with the needed 2/3rds vote and became a law anyway.

Not directly of course, but no one in DC has more at stake in this election than dubya and his criminal administration. So I hope you?re not implying that he and his party weren?t motivated by the looming election. They had to find an issue to use, they discovered that boys marrying boys isn?t as compelling as it was two years ago.And yes this fence is stupid and it is his fault. He could have demanded a more sensible immigration plan from the legislative branch, but instead he settled to fence 35% of the border. Like I said now the illegals know they can go 701 miles and they make it. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Justice @ Oct 30 2006, 01:22 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You see how logical thoughts can be connected to form sensible points in a debate?</div>Indeed I do.Indeed eye dew.

You however made it seem like it was only him and not a group made up of thousands of people. I really can't understand how I can be any more clear about this. It's not like Bush comes up with his own plan, tells all these people what to do, and they do it. If he's such an idiot, then how does he mastermind these ridiculous plans. (Hint: he doesn't)Anyway, another thing that is irritating about it is that it's just cliche. No President works independently. It's just moronic to act like he does. I'm not defending him, but no, he didn't make weed illegal, he didn't make gay marriage illegal anywhere, he didn't cause hurricane Katrina, he didn't create the pledge of allegiance, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD he didn't mastermind 9/11. I'm not saying you are saying that, but many people on this forum seem to have that impression. And it's not only blatently ludicrous, it hurts your argument to associate yourself with someone who is of that opinion. It's along the lines of saying you don't get the Bible so Christianity is stupid. It's not like anyone is going to hop on board to your argument because you say it.
