he's not a landscaper moving the goalposts....he's a magic man making them vanish then reappear over the horizon

Impossible. Nobody can ever tell 100% where you stand on something so you can never be wrong!
I don't think you're watching the games Aldo. The team is a fucking mess right now, no one looks good. When they let Scoot run the offense he looks like something special, not all of the time but a lot of it. When they let Ant ball hog and make Scoot a spot up shooter or a bail out at the end of the shot clock he looks terrible and that's what they've been doing way way too much of.
I think this young guy has a lot of potential, his athleticism and physicality for the position are elite, his floor vision is elite, his ability to put passes where he wants them to go is improving, his jump shot is improving. Look at the numbers before this last 7 game debacle. The dude is getting better. I don't know for sure that he's not a bust but he doesn't look like it to me.
You do you though and just keep going negative all of the time, it's fucking lame as hell but it's your preoperative to be that way.
I think his ceiling will be a better version of Dennis Smith Jr, which would be a solid Backup on a average team. But huge dissapointment after high expectations
The only busts I see are the clowns on here that were sending this kid directly to the HOF the night we drafted him. If you have ANY common sense about this game you knew he was going to struggle.....shine bright.....struggle......shine....... This game is tough on 19 year olds, ESPECIALLY PGs.
This place will never change. Unrealistic expectations turning to anger when shit doesn't live up to 'em.
This is a GOOD kid who works hard and is raw as fuck. Give him some time, I believe he will succeed.
HIT 'EM IN THE MUSCLE! HIT 'EM IN THE MUSCLE!I am tired of the Scoot hate and what really ticks me off is I bet a few of you are the same who were all up kissing Cronin's ass when he decided trading Dame was right and putting the franchise in the hands of a young kid. Now I am not saying it will not work out or it will but if you were one of the people being a super defender of Cronin and now are like -- Scoot is a bust then your a complete tool and you can just go BEEP off and leave this forum as far as I am concerned.

HONK!Agreed... and if this forum holds true to form, those who made a silly take years prior will dig in and never admit they were wrong.
Depends on what you consider “success”? What did people expect out of Billups when HE came out? He didn’t do anything for 5 years……so did he “succeed”? He has honestly played better than I thought he would.succeed in what way? Stay in the league and be a journeyman?
The expectations for some are there because they could have dealt the pick and kept Lillard. Remember?
That being said Scoot is playing about exactly the way he should be expected to at this point. In a couple years we will know quite a bit more.
People called him a bust FIVE (5) games in. Said he would NEVER amount to anything.Depends on what you consider “success”? What did people expect out of Billups when HE came out? He didn’t do anything for 5 years……so did he “succeed”? He has honestly played better than I thought he would.
19 year old with no experience PG being thrown to the wolves…… with not a lot of talent around him…… Doing alright in my eyes. I was giving him 3 seasons anyway. Looks like dudes on here aren’t even giving him HALF of one to determine his “success”.
The people who said he was a bust (or still say he is) are just saying it because they think it makes them sound correct.
His biggest issue is easily fixable. His shooting. And even that has improved (well, his 3 point shooting).
He's not ready from the get-go like Trae Young (who was older and had more reps under his belt/played college ball) or Luka (who was about the same age, but had been playing professionally since he was 16), but it's not like he's Taurean Green, Nolan Smith or Armon Johnson.
Also safe to say that Lillard will be better at 30 than Scoot will be at 30, so I'm not sure what we're supposed to do with these comparisons.Lillard at his age was averaging 11 pts per game in the all mighty Big Sky. In front of gyms holding 3,000 people
Not safe. Scoot will be better. He’ll be winning championships. Also safe to say that Lillard will be better at 30 than Scoot will be at 30, so I'm not sure what we're supposed to do with these comparisons.
I can totally see a scenario where Scoot is on a team that wins a title. Much harder for me to come up with a scenario where he'll be better than Dame, and that's no knock on Scoot. Not safe. Scoot will be better. He’ll be winning championships.

I agree with the conclusion.Means it’s too early to be definitive about a young player with lots of potential…
Yes, but Lillard didn’t apply for the draft like Scoot did. Lillard knew he wasn’t ready. Scoot didn’t.Lillard at his age was averaging 11 pts per game in the all mighty Big Sky. In front of gyms holding 3,000 people

A coyote would be ideal. Those puppies are smart, crazy athletic, and clever.A Wolf?
