What do you think about Rose on what would be left of a Vets min salary?

At his press conference in Philly he said Portland was one of the teams that tried to sign him. It's good to know we at least tried even though no one wants to sign here.

Damn, we never get anybody

I'd be down with just about any new blood in here for the rest of the year. There are a few others I'd prefer over him, like Ilyasova if he gets bought out.
As i understand it if they were to pick him up off of waivers and he agreed to come here they would only have the rest of the season % hit against the cap? That means they could essentially pay him 600K and not hit the tax?

Yes they do. But this is a former first round #1 pick who was also once an League MVP. You see the difference right?

What league? The justice League? I don't recall the name Ilyasova in any NBA MVP race.

This is noteworthy for any future buyout guys. We probably won’t get anyone but the interest should at least be there. I hope Ilyasova gets bought out. Carter is another one. Maybe even Zbo.

Jake Fischer of SI thinks Wilson Chandler could be bought out. He has a $12m player option for next season that I’m sure he would opt into, so I don’t know how Denver would work that out. I would totally sign him though despite his struggles.

Please please please.... always loved Ilyasova.

Ilyasova already said he doesn't want to move again. He's not getting bought out.

That was probably done as leverage since he had a no trade clause and most likely didn’t want to go just anywhere. Don’t see why he would be against a buyout considering he’s on a one year deal and if Atlanta has no plans bringing him back then his bird rights are irrelevant.

Prolly doesn't want to move his family for just two months after going to like 4 cities in the last year or so. Understandable.

Yeah, I think they might have had to wait until after their next game but it was really close.

I don't think that applies if we claim someone off of waivers, I think their whole contract would count towards our cap number even though we'd only have to pay them for the remainder of the season. It might be different with Rose since he is a minimum contract guy but then wouldn't any team that wants him (like Minnesota) just claim him so it isn't his decision anymore?
